Dislikes
- There is no transport available from tha main road you have to book an auto or something to reach the college. As the college is 1.6km from the main road.
- The campus is not that much good but tha outside nature is better beautiful.
Remarks :
I got admission to Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College after taking the Wbjee exam...My rank was 10000 and I got Computer Science & Engineering in the general category in this college during the decentralised round...... There are no group discussions, interviews or written tests to get admission to this college you just have to take the Wbjee exam and according to your rank and caste Kota you will get admission through the different rounds of counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I was interested in coding when I was in class 11 and I found it interesting and researched the future scopes of this field. The faculties are quite well qualified some of our professors have done masters. The professors used to teach us through a projector with live examples of experiments and live coding. 8 semesters exams occur after every 6 months i.e. 4 years of course. In a single semester, there are four internals named CA1, CA2, CA3 & CA4 that occur every month and there are 2 practical exams in a single semester first one occurs just after the CA2 and the 2nd practical occurs after CA4. The college provides free to students whose families are not financially stable. They provide two types of freeship one is half freeship i.e you have to pay Rs. 3000/sem and the other one is full freeship i.e you don't have to pay any Rupees.
Placement Experience :
The placement and job opportunities are quiet less compared to other colleges as this college is not too old. And because of the recession this year the companies are less in comparison to the previous year year. The average salary package offered through on campus placements is 4LPA. Currently, I am preparing for off-campus placements. I am Applying to different companies like TCS, etc through off-campus placements.
Campus Life :
The college conducts an Annual fest named Aikatan in April or May according to exam schedules. Different clubs like NSS, GDSC, ROBOTICS, etc. organize tech fests. The college organized an Annual sports during February to April. The college provides gym facilities to all the students. There is a gym inside the administrative building. They provide hostel only to 3rd and 4th year boys. But for girls, they provide a hostel every year whether it is 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th. The hostel fee for each sem is approx Rs. 13k - 14k including: mess fee, room rent, electricity, hostel cleaning fee, The hotel's food quality is good. The hostel gs is selected by voting and the mess committee is made with the students of the hostel and the mess committee decides what will be cooked. For 1st or 2nd year boys they can avail the pg near the college or they can also avail the pg in the main town Purulia.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
