- I can say it's amazing college campus with a big playground. You will enjoy your sports experience along with study.
- One more thing that is famous in this college is annual function. In burdwan town, Raj College's annual fest is very popular and you can expect great artist from all over India in every year. Last year Nikhita Gandhi was special guest but for weather problem it was cancelled but she will come on this year along with more artist. The fest held for 3 days. Every department and hostel make their stalls in college fest. Overall it will be a very enjoyable and memorable 3 days of your college life.
Dislikes
- Some time there are lack of development on infrastructure of this college. This college's infrastructure is very good but you can see the maintaining problems.
- There are no problems in faculty but the list for the college admission released for a long with many list. So your name can be came after a long time, and if you admitted in another College and then see you got a chance on this college, after that you will face some problems to cancel the admission of the correct college and admit on this college. Some times the refunding of previous college may occurs etc.
Remarks :
There are no entrance exams for this college. You just need good scores in HS. I was admitted to this college as this college is famous for commerce. Although other streams are also well. The college teaching and non-teaching stuffs are very active.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I'm right now in my final year. So I can say this college is great to be admitted to. But sometimes college runs with a lack of classes. Especially the Commerce department. But it's all about students' faults, they didn't attend classes. Although the department doesn't take any stick rules for attending classes. If you want to know about fees you can expect around 3K-4K per sem admission fees, depending on the semester. Odd semester fees are a little high and evens are low. The departments to apply for scholarships are transparent. You will not face any issues with applying for scholarships.
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opt for any internship, and genuinely said it may be a major problem for this college if you want an internship opportunity from this college. You will face a lack of this opportunity from this college.
Placement Experience :
There are one-time campusing in every year. If you are deserving one you will get good campusing from this college. But the genuine answer there is no transparency in placement and job opportunities. You will face a lack of campus in this college.
Campus Life :
As I said I'm in my last year, and I spent 2 years in the hostel as I was admitted in my 2nd year in the hostel. Hostel fees are good, you have to pay yearly 5,500 rupees and the flooding charge depends on the hostel. There are 2 hostels, FH and NR. FH food charge is 1400/Month, and my hostel is FH, food charge is 1200/Month. For girls hostel hostel-loving charge is 6K/semester and 1.5K/Month for fooding. In the boy's hostel you will get access to Wifi, and TV but there are good rules and regulations for using it. So that boarders can't spend more times on that. You will get cool water, there are water coolers in every hostel. The room space is very good. And the major problem is ragging, I can say there are no issues of that. For a few days, students can be a little scared to talk with seniors, but I can say they will be best friends in future as I spend that situation.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
