- We have a really big campus, including the main academic block and 4 associated hospitals - Lok Nayak Hospital, Guru Nanak Eye centre, GB Pant super speciality hospital and Maulana Azad institute of dental sciences.
- We have a lot options of food throughout the campus, including hostel messes, 2 canteens and 1 24 hour cafeteria.
Dislikes
- The building is really old, making is appear a bit dirty, since the college is 60+ years old
- Hostels do not have enough capacity to accommodate all students, since in the initial years our batch strength was 100 and now it has reached 250
Remarks :
To enter into MBBS, everyone has to qualify entrance exam called NEET-UG, According to all India ranks, we can select among all colleges of the country. I got a rank of 376, which helped me qualify for MAMC, with DU quota (schooling in Delhi / residents of Delhi). One who doesn't have this needs to get an AIR under 100 to qualify for MAMC (general category) MAMC is considered 2nd best college (after AIIMS Delhi) for UG courses, and that's the reason I opted for it. Overall our college is amazing, the only drawback is that the infrastructure is old, since it was built around 60+ years back.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted to become a doctor so I chose to pursue an MBBS, it's fun studying biology. The faculties here are qualified with MBBS degrees and MD (speciality) in their specific branches. The smart teaching method is opted for by everyone using presentations and clinical cases during posting. Term exams happen 4 monthly, followed by finals at the end of the year, moderately difficult subjective pattern exams. The cost of the study is around? 4690 yearly, and hostel fees nearly? 6000 years. I've seen no fee hike in the last 3 years of my education here.
Internships Opportunities :
We do not need to opt for outside internships rather we are posted for internships in our hospitals for a year at the end of the course. Post that we have to appear for NEET PG, whose rank helps to determine the branch for speciality.
Placement Experience :
In a course like ours, we don't have placements, rather we have a 1-year long mandatory internship (4.5 years of study + 1-year internship). We have postings in all departments during that period, helping us understand our interests in further education, i.e. speciality (MD/MS) I'm in 3rd year currently and so yet to be a part of the internship.
Campus Life :
Just like every college, life here is really fun. You get to enjoy a lot of parties, festival celebrations and our annual fest ’Synapse’. Monthly events form a crucial park. Our library is filled with books on each subject making it around 30k books, centralised ACs. Classrooms are also equipped with centralised ACs. As I mentioned about monthly activities, our college has societies for each art enthusiast, we have an art society, dance society, music society, drama society and a lot more. We also have a cultural council and student union responsible for meeting the demands and solving the problems of all students. I am a part of the student council!
Hostel Facilities :
In the beginning itself we were asked to fill the forms which required ID and resident proof ( since farther you live, earlier you are alloted a hostel ). Hostel fees is around ?6000 yearly. I personally do not like the mess food at present since it's not at par in terms of quality, also the menu is quite constant making it boring to adjust with that. We have 3 seater rooms for 1st years, 2 seater for 2nd years and 3rd year onwards single seater. (girls) I'm not sure about boys, though the fees is absolute same

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
