Dislikes
- The thing which has much just like about the college is the cleaning not very good and the canteen is the worst there they literally offer the worst food which is almost the fast food every time and the tea which is literally liquid there is no tea leaves and milk in there it is the worst so don't try it
- The classroom fans are very dirty the cleaning staff clean them every 6 to 7 months which is a very long period so the fans will be very dirty and after the summer or winter vacation the benches will be very dirty so you have to clean them on your own they won't clean it for you that's the worst thing
Remarks :
The factors that made me choose this college are that this college specialises in the commerce field. They only offer commerce courses to all students both honours and general. The teachers are very friendly. Also, this college has 2 campuses. One near Calcutta University and the other in Salt Lake. The one which Is near Calcutta University is only for boys and the other which is in Saltlake is coed. They don't take any exams for admission. There are a few bad things about this college that this is a very early college the class starts at 6 am. Also, the classes bench is not so good and the few room's fans are very dirty but they clean them after every 6-7 months. Otherwise, the college is good. Also, the minimum attendance is 45%-50%. So the students don't need to come every day. They can come 3 days a week that's it if they want to. The classes are from 6 am to 10:30 am from Monday to Friday and 6 am to 9 am on Saturday. Sunday is a holiday across.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The academic fees are quite Low for this college the yearly fees of this college are approximately 5000 to 6000 approximately. At the time of admission, you have to pay a little bit more but you don't have to worry about the expenses. the college also offers transportation cards to the students who travel by train and the college also offers academic fee discounts to the students to perform very well sometimes they even don't pay the fees and make it free.
Internships Opportunities :
There are no internship opportunities available in this college right now the companies come but for the job, they don't offer the internship for the current period in this college there will be changes in future maybe.
Placement Experience :
There are almost no opportunities there are three companies that rarely come to college for placement in the job opportunities the package is pretty average of 4 to 5 lakh and the student scenes are very much random so your marks do a matter as much if you maintain an average CGPA of 7.5 to 9 then you can appear for the placements.
Campus Life :
There is not too much thing in the college the cleanliness is okay there is a library on the second floor and there is a common room on the ground floor there is also a computer lab so overall it is good. In the common room there are several indoor sports which are chess carrom table tennis and many others. Ground is sufficient to play the cricket for 10 to 12 students the equipment to play the cricket is also available there. The college also has Wi-Fi which the student can access by asking the union members of the college and you can read the books at the library and also borrow them take them home and read they give a 30-day time limit to return the book otherwise the fine will be charged.

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
