Remarks :
Admission to any MBBS college is through NEET UG, once your ranks are out, counseling takes place and places the students in various govt—and private medical Colleges all over India. Neet pg is quite a difficult exam set requiring preparations to begin from class 11. Physics chemistry biology are the three subjects that are tested through mcqs. A higher score shall fetch a better rank and free government. Education whereas private medical colleges are nevertheless great as well, just quite on the expensive edge. Student loans can be applied but my advice would be to not let go of the seat, even if in private college. Students all over the world are breaking bones to study MBBS. The exam can be repeatedly given year after year with no age limit as of now. The paper comprises of class 11 and 12 syllabi of mostly CBSC board but ISC board is helpful as well. Maximum time should be given to solving MCQs before the exam day because that's the key to success indeed.
Course Curriculum Overview :
JIMSH is one of the biggest private medical College setups in West Bengal. Being a part of the first batch of MBBS at this college, I know exactly how it feels to begin from scratch with no help from seniors. However, the faculty team was what we looked up to. An excellent set of doctors, professors, and staff members indeed. What matters in the final 2 years of the course is patient exposure, which is quite a lot, owing to the location of the campus on the outskirts. The management team has been able to set up a well-furnished campus throughout these years with all the amenities available within the campus. The education system has set up semester exams as per the rules of the Wbuhs. 9 semesters to be conducted in the most legitimate way possible, with a strict invigilation system rolling out. The cost to study in this institution depends on various factors like quota and scholarships available. There are three kinds of seats, govt. , Management, NRI, where NRI is the costliest.
Internships Opportunities :
Compulsory 1 year rotatory internship programme at your own college as per NMC rules is to be done without failure. All the departments of MBBS curriculum shall be treated with equal priority for this 1 year for real time experience.
Placement Experience :
MBBS is a degree which has no placement opportunities given post degree. Although housestaffship at JIMSH is open to students to apply for ,post internship. Students often prepare themselves for post graduation after MBBS or join various hospitals for experience at work.
Campus Life :
The social life in Budge Budge is too boring but inside the campus of JIMSH, it's a festival every day. The decor of the entire campus, the huge grounds, and the tree-filled space are wonderful to experience. Being situated on the outskirts, there are hardly any facilities available outside the campus but the management has built a beautifully shaped -class library, a few lovely canteens and cafes, a football ground, a basketball ground, volley ball, and badminton ground for the students to have fun around. The hostels are heavily equipped with all modern facilities and are clean and well maintained every day. The journey from scratch to a world-class institution is amazing to be a part of. The fest takes place at the beginning of every year filled with amazing artist appearances. The engineering college under the same management has been a part of the fests too. Colleges from all over West Bengal have enrolled every year for the events throughout the 4 gala days of the fest.
Hostel Facilities :
I have been a hostelite all throughout my MBBS journey and I give all credits to my hostel life for making it a very memorable journey. The ambience of the hostel, the people there, the common rooms, the facilities, the programmes everything makes it perfect. The food quality is nothing better than any other hostel around. It's the same old food but still has a changing menu everyday with non veg being provided everyday. The hostel rooms are prices according to accomodation,single room, triple room, AC,non , AC. The hostel wardens and guards are 24*7 on duty and very helpful, any kind of issue with water ,food , electricity are addressed immediately. There is a pair of faculty wardens as well who are leading the team.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
