- The ambience of the college, the heritage building which is almost a centuries-old.
- The faculty, who are highly qualified and are very down to earth and amiable.
Dislikes
- The opportunities they provide are dismal.
- The placement which never takes place there is something to be liked the least
Remarks :
Due to not getting into any of the reputed colleges out of the state due to family problems, I had to settle down for this college in Kashmir, which is considered to be the best one here academically for humanities. I took admission through merit, but this admission process takes place through CUET.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course, Faculty and Infrastructure are top-notch, and professors are amiable and easily accessible. The fee structure is around 10K per year which you have to do after the end of every two semesters. A special focus on students makes it worthwhile, letting you explore multiple dimensions of academics such as research and all is an icing on the cake.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't joined any internship for there was no opportunity provided by the college. Only if they had provided an opportunity I would have made the most of it, however unfortunately couldn't embark on it due to their lack of concern.
Placement Experience :
No placements take place in our college, no internships. No company or organisation comes in to provide opportunities for careers. You need to have qualified 12th to get into this college. If not for professional courses you have to struggle for placements.
Campus Life :
Classrooms are pretty spacious, and diverse books, foreign magazines, and journals are readily available in the library which is situated just to the left of the entrance of the college. Social groups and clubs are pretty active in college and every student takes part earnestly. Multi-cultural in the college provided a gash to learn and explore multi-dimensional fields.
Hostel Facilities :
The menu is of fine quality. The hostel is five minutes away having just a wall between the college and the hostel. Rooms are pretty ventilated having a vacancy for three people. Need to submit an application to the hostel convenor, and you will get a call from the counselling team if you are selected for the accommodation in the hostel or not then you will be given a form to submit mentioning your credentials and pay an annual fee of 3000

Placement Experience :
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
