- The greenery of the university attractes me a lot . The campus is surrounded by beautiful tress and different varieties of flowers which makes the campus more stunning at night.
- The sports facilities available in the university is also very good. University is well equipped with various fields like basketball ground, cricket ground, football ground, volleyball ground, badminton ground and table tennis ground. All sports freek students assemble at evening and play together.
Dislikes
- The main distraction of the university is the presence of large number of moneys in the campus. Although they don't hurt anyone but makes irritating sound.
- Absence of railway reservation counter for students is also another disappointing factor. All the students who come from far large town don't get tickets and have to book tickets on tatkal and have to pay more amount for that.
Remarks :
The greenery of the university is very stunning and the administration of this university is also very supportive. These benefits along with the central university tag made me choose this university. The fees of the course are also very low as compared to other universities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties of my department are good and the department is also very supportive. The teaching methods of the teachers are very good as they as NET-qualified. Most of the faculties have done their PhD. Exams are timely but this time out semester exam was delayed by 2 months and the difficulty level of the exam was moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I have done a judicial internship under the bench of 4 judges in the District and Sessions Court, Jamui. I was offered to go through various legal documents, and case records, prepare case summaries, and check various sections of IPC and CrPC. Since it was a judicial internship it was not a stipend.
Placement Experience :
Placements are provided by a special department of the university namely Carrear and Placement Cell. Every company has its different eligibility criteria. On average, you should have at least 6 CGPA to be eligible for placement offers. The highest package offered in our department was 8 L.P.A and the average package was 3.2 L.P.A . Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, etc are a few recruiters. A large number of students opt for higher studies and judiciary preparation. Almost 40 % of the students get placed.

Campus Life :
Life on the university campus is very enjoyable. Annual festivals are held every year. Some of the fests are the Sanskriti Fest held in May, the MBA Fest held in February, and many more. The sports championship is also held every year in March. Almost all books of our syllabus can be found in the Library as well in our departmental library. Several clubs are run by students like Dance Club, Nature Club, Chess Club, Singing Club, and Drama Club.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I have opted. After the hostel application is out you have to fill it out first. After that merit list is published according to reservation rules and if your name comes in the merit list you have to pay 7800 out of which 5000 is refundable. After you pay the fee you get your hostel room. The quality of the mess food is moderate. Veg as well as nonveg are provided.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
