Remarks :
The college has a very good atmosphere as well as campus compared to other colleges in Kolkata and despite that, it's also an Autonomous college that is affiliated to MAKAUT, which doesn't pressure students to focus on every field, which makes us do whatever extra-curricular activities we want to do.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As most of us know in the field of engineering there is a high demand for this degree in Computer science and engineering, which made my mind to choose this course. And now I feel like it's great as I get to learn many interesting coding features.
Placement Experience :
This course opens a great opportunity for the students and in our college, we are being provided with placements of different tech companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, NINJA, AMAZON and many more. But to avail this we need to have minimum scores mentioned as per the company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
When I took admission back in 2022, the total fee excluding the admission fee was 3,93,000 for the full course, But now it's increased and become nearly 5 lakh for the course, but I am talking about this for those who come from WBJEE or JEE Examination. For Management quota, the fee structure is different.
Campus Life :
There are many clubs like, sports, Drama, poetry, dance, language and many which are highly active throughout the year. People participating in these programs organised by the clubs get points as well as recognition in the college.
Hostel Facilities :
Unfortunately, there is no hostel provided for boys on our campus. But there is a hostel inside our college campus for girls, where the fees are almost 10,000 per month but the food provided there is not so tasty and healthy as per my knowledge.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
