- The infrastructure is constantly being developed and classes are being added which i love about the college it gives a old institution vive which it is about 150 year old and has a great legacy and it reflects in the working and system of the college. Students teachers are the who makes this college above every other colleges in the campus as it is top of line and diverse.
- Another thing which i love is less number of student in college which makes it very cloased system and like a family.
- The student union society SUS which have there proper election every year and a committee is formed which helps student raise there problems and concerns.
- Extra curricular and sports are also tgere and regular talk sessions with big personalities is also a thing a love
- Morning assembly is there which makes a spiritual connection with god
- Very good computer labs and Ac on every classes
Dislikes
- Food in canteen is mostly non vegetarian which i dont like
- Fees is very high as compared to other colleges around the campus. Not much to dislike about the college
Remarks :
After completing my 12th I was not very much interested in pursuing btech rather I wanted to go into the research field so I searched for the best colleges in India for basic chemistry and Delhi University was at the top of every list CUET-UG is the exam conducted every year with 100+ domain subjects and various combinations to get into 1000s of courses and colleges. St Stephen being the most prestigious of all the colleges the cutoffs are relatively higher for science courses above 520+ out of 600 in the PCM domain and about 795+ out of 800 in the arts domain. The alumni network the college has is great The vibe of the campus is very calm A limited number of students make it very good and focuses on individual student For the CUET exam, I just focused on board exams and then YouTube was the only source I relied on practising MCQs is very important as the format is MCQ’s based.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BSc chemistry hons is 3 3-year undergraduate program and is divided into six semesters each year with 2 semesters. My interest est in chemistry was the only reason I opted for this ,future research opportunities are very vast in the chemistry field, The teachers and professors are extremely qualified with top-of-the-line educational backgrounds and some of them have done their PhD research from foreign universities which in turn helps us to get to foreign universities for further research We have 2 big labs and sufficient space for double the strength of my class and is loaded with expensive chemicals and instruments We have regular classes with daily assignments and activities teachers are very regular and little to no classes are cancelled throughout the semester. Exams are conducted every 6 months at the end of the semester and internal exams are conducted throughout the semester with regular assignments and presentations.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I have opted for an internship under a professor in my department who works with PhD students but due to my daily asking for an internship, he gave me one in his lab. I don't get any money because I learn so many things and it is part-time I do it with study so not that regular. But there are many summer internships which professors recommend and help to get them. I had to mostly help the PhD students with their work and I was also performing experiments my research paper is in progress so I might have a research paper before graduation.it is very hectic and laborious working in the laboratory with all the smell of chemicals.
Placement Experience :
Placements in my department are very low as people mostly pursue MSc and PhD then go for jobs but internship opportunities are very good department professors recommend us to Issers and other big institutions for internships. Airtel and NDTV recruited this year from college with 9-10lpa. Most student don't prefer to do jobs after just their bachelor so not a high placement ratio I will go for a master's in foreign by taking a scholarship and then PhD and do research while being a professor in a college
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is paid in two installments that is before every semester exam which is about 23k-25k Which comprises various subsections including Tuition fee? 90 College welfare fund? 1440 College development fund? 14000 Facility charge? 4815 Other charges like cafe, library fine, lab breakeges are subject to how much you use them and usually about 2-3k The library fine is about ? 2 per day per book after 7 days of issue. Lab breakage is dependent on which instrument you break. Talking of scholarships there is no reservation for the backward communities as it is a minority college 50% reserved for the Christian community.
Campus Life :
College life is very vibrant in the college as well as outside of the college as it is surrounded by many more good colleges and the whole area is called the north campus which is filled with the best students from across India and from the world diversity is mind-boggling in and around the campus. Talking about the fest these are conducted in February for my college which is exclusively for my college students and no outsiders are allowed it is a 3-day fest with tons of activities like prom but being on the north campus you can go to the fest of every other college which are in February. The library is also very connected with an online database for soft copies and a very large collection of hard copies also you can issue. Daily newspapers and journals are available. Badminton court, gym, squash, table tennis, football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, wall climbing which are well maintained. Society like ssl,vidyahyoti, chemsoc and many more are there which conduct events regularly.
Hostel Facilities :
There is a hostel service available in college both for boys and girls with a cost of about 11-12k mess food is good and the security of students is pretty good. You have to apply for a hostel each year and the list of students selected is based on attendance marks and home town. I have rented a PG on the campus itself which is around 1.5km from the college in Kamla nagar and there are 100s of PG flats on the campus which are very affordable and you can choose accordingly.

But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
