Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUK) is a public university that was established in 1946. In 1972, the college became a constituent of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and was affiliated with Andhra University. In 2003, the college became autonomous. It is graded ‘A+’ by NAAC. In JNTUK Ranking 2024, NIRF ranked it 101-150 out of 300 engineering colleges.

JNTUK offers Btech as its flagship program. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as major subjects and with a minimum of 50% of marks are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on marks obtained in AP EAMCET or JEE Main. The AP EAMCET cutoff 2024 for BTech AI was 13411. The total course fee for BTech is INR 40,000.

JNTUK offers scholarships provided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to aid students financially. There is Post Matric Scholarship for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and disabled students who want to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses. To be eligible, the student’s family income should be less than Rs 2,00,000. Additionally, there is a Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority Community Students for those who belong to economically backward minority communities. The family income should be less than Rs 1,00,000 for the student to be eligible for this scholarship.
