KLE University Admission Dates 2026

For the 2026-27 intake, NEET UG scores determine admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS. MBBS and BDS counselling takes place through MCC for All-India Quota deemed university seats and KEA for Karnataka state quota seats. The remaining undergraduate admission events are listed below. KAHER's MBBS and BDS classes are expected to begin in November 2026.

The MCC postgraduate counselling schedule gives the separate registration, choice submission, allotment, and reporting deadlines. KAHER handles BPT, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences admissions through its own process, following the rules of the relevant councils.

KLE University Courses and Fees

Students can choose from over 150 programmes in medicine, dentistry, Ayurveda, homeopathy, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, and allied health sciences. The amounts below are full-course fees under the general quota, rather than annual charges.

On-campus hostels cost INR 99,200 to 1,08,200 a year for boys and INR 95,200 to 99,200 a year for girls. These charges are separate from tuition.

KLE University Admission Process

NEET UG is the only entrance route for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS seats at KAHER. For MBBS and BDS, applicants use MCC All-India Quota counselling for deemed private university seats or KEA Karnataka state quota counselling for Karnataka domicile candidates. Admission to MBBS does not involve a separate KAHER entrance examination or a management quota interview.

1. Check the eligibility conditions. Applicants must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The minimum aggregate is 50 percent for the General category and 40 percent for SC/ST/OBC categories. They must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026.
2. Take the entrance examination linked to the course. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS require NEET UG; MD and MS require NEET PG; MDS requires NEET MDS; and DM and M.Ch require NEET SS.
3. Participate in the relevant counselling process. MBBS and BDS applicants follow MCC or KEA counselling, while BAMS and BHMS applicants use Karnataka AYUSH counselling. MD and MS applicants follow MCC or KEA PG counselling. MCC's deemed university counselling route covers the relevant postgraduate and super-specialty admissions.
4. For BPT, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, and Allied Health Science courses, follow KAHER's institutional counselling process and the applicable council rules.

CCIM rules govern BAMS admission, while CCH rules apply to BHMS. Both courses use NEET UG scores for seat allotment. The entrance and counselling routes for the different course groups are shown below.

KLE University Career Outcomes

Graduates enter careers through the usual recruitment and further-study routes in their fields; KAHER does not hold a corporate campus placement drive. For JNMC's MBBS graduates, options include government hospital services through UPSC CMS or Karnataka state PSC recruitment, private tertiary care hospitals, and armed forces medical services. Others prepare for NEET PG or enter fellowship programmes.

Clinical training at Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital covers 45+ departments. Students work with patients from North Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa. After MD or MS, graduates may join super-specialty institutions, take NEET SS for DM or M.Ch, pursue fellowships at KAHER or abroad, or enter teaching and academic medicine.

KLE University Rankings

Medical, University, and Overall are the NIRF categories in which KAHER appears for 2025. Its Medical position of 46 puts it within India's top 50 medical institutions. The table also lists its NAAC accreditation.

KLE University Campus and Infrastructure

Eight constituent colleges share KAHER's 113-acre main campus in Belagavi: JNMC, VK Institute of Dental Sciences, the School of Allied Health Sciences, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Institute of Physiotherapy, Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, KLE Homoeopathic Medical College, and the College of Pharmacy. Outside Belagavi, Hubballi has JGMM Medical College and a College of Pharmacy, while Bengaluru has another College of Pharmacy.

JNMC uses Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Centre as its main teaching hospital. This multi-specialty tertiary care centre occupies 17 acres next to the campus and has 45+ clinical departments. Its patients come from North Karnataka, nearby Maharashtra districts, and Goa's border areas. The large patient load gives medical and surgical students extensive training in general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, paediatrics, and advanced specialist departments.

Students can stay in campus hostels, where annual charges cover accommodation and basic amenities. Boys pay INR 99,200 to 1,08,200 per year, and girls pay INR 95,200 to 99,200 per year.

KLE University Scholarships

Financial support at KAHER includes awards for academic merit, assistance for low-income families, and tuition waivers. Across its constituent colleges, institutional scholarships have supported 2,681 students over the last five years, with a combined value of INR 8.58 Crore.

The Earn While You Learn scheme provides eligible students from economically weaker families with INR 3,000 to 7,500 per month, subject to annual family income being below INR 2.50 Lakhs. OBC and minority students may also apply for centrally funded post-matric schemes through the National Scholarship Portal.

KLE University, Manipal Academy and Amrita University Compared

For students considering private deemed health sciences universities in South India, KAHER, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham are common choices. Each holds NAAC accreditation and offers MBBS, BDS, and postgraduate medical courses, with NEET UG used for undergraduate medical admission.

MAHE and Amrita place above KAHER in the NIRF Medical comparison and both hold NAAC A++ accreditation. KAHER's course mix includes a wider choice in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Allied Health at competitive fee levels. Its Belagavi base also serves students and patients across North Karnataka and the Deccan region. MAHE has a more established international reputation and a broader selection of non-medical courses. Amrita's hospitals in Kerala and Tamil Nadu attract students from South India.
