Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) also known as Bharath University, was established in 1984. It is approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC with an A grade. According to NIRF 2024 reports, the college is ranked #73 out of 200 under the ‘Overall’ category.

Bharath University offers a B.Tech as its flagship program. The fee for the academic year 2024 for B.Tech ranges from INR 10 lakhs to INR 15 lakhs. The selection criteria for admission is based on the valid score in the BEEE examination.

Bharath University also offers admission to the MBA program. The fee for the academic year 2024 for MBA is INR 5 lakhs. To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 60% marks from a recognized university. The selection criteria for admission is based on the valid score/rank in the TANCET examination or on the merit in the previous qualifying examination.

Bharath University Placement for the academic year 2024 received th highest package of INR 9 lakhs and an average package of INR 4.5 lakhs. The placement percentage for the academic year 2024 was 93%. The top recruiting companies for the placement drive were Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Deloitte, Byju’s, HCL, Flikart, Amazon and many other.
