SASTRA University Admission 2026 is conducted online and seats are allotted only through merit. The deemed university in Thanjavur handles its own counselling for programmes such as B.Tech and MBA. B.Tech costs INR 85,000 per semester in Year 1, while MBA costs INR 75,000 per semester.

SASTRA University B.Tech Admission 2026
B.Tech admission at SASTRA University is available in 21 specialisations at the Thanjavur campus. The Kumbakonam campus offers CSE and ECE. SASTRA does not hold a separate entrance test for B.Tech.
Class XII marks are normalised so that students from different boards can be compared fairly. The top scorer in each state board is treated as 100%, and other marks are scaled against that score.
The B.Tech tuition fee is INR 85,000 per semester in Year 1. From Year 2, the fee rises by 5% each year. Students also pay one-time admission charges of INR 16,000 at joining.

SASTRA University B.Tech Selection Criteria 2026
SASTRA prepares B.Tech ranks through two streams. Stream 1 gives equal importance to JEE Main 2026 and Class XII marks. Stream 2 is meant for students who apply without JEE Main and uses only Class XII marks.
- Stream 1 score is built from 50% JEE Main 2026 percentile and 50% Class XII aggregate.
- Stream 2 rank depends fully on the Class XII aggregate.
- Class XII marks are scaled by taking the top scorer of each state board as 100%.
- The state board rank method helps compare students from different boards.
- 20% of seats are kept in a separate pool for students from Thanjavur and Trichy districts.
- Special category seats are available for students from Himalayan states, North-Eastern states, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

SASTRA University Law Admission 2026
SASTRA University offers three five-year law degrees: B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), BBA LL.B. (Hons.), and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.). The law admission process has two phases.
Phase I began in April 2026 and was for CLAT 2026 scorers. Phase II started in June 2026 and uses both CLAT and Class XII marks. The law tuition fee is INR 75,000 per semester in Year 1, with a 5% yearly rise from Year 2. One-time admission charges are INR 16,000.

SASTRA University Law Selection Process 2026
- Phase I seats are allotted only through CLAT 2026 scores.
- Phase II uses a combined score with 50% from CLAT 2026 and 50% from Class XII marks.
- The same application is valid for both phases, so students do not need a second form.
- SASTRA conducts law counselling online through its admission portal.
- Students without a CLAT score can apply only in Phase II through Class XII marks.

The factors that made me choose sastra is its main focus on meritocracy that is they give preference to how much skilled and knowledgeable person you are in your academics and it's also more beneficial if you have good JEE score. Combined with JEE Score and +12 Score the admission rankings are out and based on those rankings' seats will be allotted in different branches.

Admission is based on 12th class % and 12th %+ JEE percentile. The cutoffs keep changing depending upon courses. There is reservation for students from Thanjavur(10%)& Trichy(10%) & overall Tamil Nadu student (50%),also possible through NRI quota, Management quota.
