SASTRA University is inviting applications for admission to its UG, PG, and Ph.D programs for the academic session 2024-25. Interested candidates can apply through the official website.
SASTRA University is a private deemed university in Thanjavur which offers UG, PG and PhD programmes in multiple domains like Engineering, Management, Optometry, Arts, Fine Arts, among others. The university offers admission to all the courses strictly on the basis of merit. Two types of admission processes are followed for admission to technical courses.
The candidates who want to get admission through entrance exams like JEE will have to apply through Stream 1 application form, and the candidates who want to apply on the basis of marks in qualifying exam will apply through Stream 2 application form. The students will have to fill both the forms separately.
After the final merit list is released, the selected students will be informed and called for a counselling and document verification process. The students will have to be physically present for the same.
Though the university has not yet declared the admission dates for any courses this year, but they are expected to be released very soon.
The admission to 70% of the BTech seats are allocated on the basis of both JEE Mains Percentile score and class 12 marks. These seats are called Stream 1 seats. The remaining 30% of BTech seats, which are called the Stream 2 seats, are allocated only on the basis of class 12 marks.
Since the admissions are granted on the basis of the ranks of the candidates in the university merit list, the expected cut-offs are given in the form of closing university ranks. However, the cut-offs will vary from year to year.
