Remarks:

In arena of public administration, university of madras is the top best college in tamilnadu for providing masters degree in public administration. This is the major factor. And next thing is affordability, among the top university that provide this course, university of madras is best in providing education at a lower cost, which is easier for strudents from all class. Admission process starts with an online application, proceeded by entrance exam - including written and interview. Once its done. The syllabus is given prior and exams are conducted in legit manner. Placement Experience:

Intern opportunities were provided during the course time. Students were send to State department of Archaeology, Tamilnadu, Archaeological Survey of India - Chennai, Government Museum Egmore for internship programme. No direct placement given.

Remarks:

The main factor why I choose this course in this university is because of the reputation of the university. A lot of scholars who had contributed in Indian Archaeology were the alumini's of this department. To get a seat in this department one must attempt the written test conducted in this department. Then a short viva voce will be conducted. Valuvating the overall performance, you will be selected by the group of professors.

Placement Experience:

Usually you have to do a one month summer internship during your first year either on the month of May or June. There in my department in the final semester there's only one theory paper and the rest 3months you have to do an internship. The work you showcase during these internship periods is what helps you bag a job offer after graduation. Some of my seniors got the opportunity to work in the same company as theh interned. There Psychology department placements depends on that. But in other departments like mba etc There are recruiters coming to conduct campus placement and ig 5 8lpa packages are offered usually.

Remarks:

Yes there is an entrance test for getting admission into the university. The admission portal usually opens around 2months before the entrance test. The test is fairly easy and there will be questions about general psychology concepts as well as the specific field you're going for. After the test, on the same day or the day after there will an interview which is usually done by the HOD or an assistant professor. The interview questions can also be general as well as application questions. Before you come for the exam you're supposed to send a copy of your qualification certificates via email or post. I prepared using an app called Psyquotient, which helped me revise all the concepts that I have learned until then a day before the exam. University is pretty good, the faculty is also very well accomplished people. There's a great deal of exposure opportunities that you get from the University. There are weekly seminars, National seminars etc being conducted every week in the University

Placement Cell is there and Job fairs are conducted . But the companies are relevant only for banking and finance dept. Not much for pure sciences. I got placed as a teaching assistant at a reputed city school.

Remarks:

This is a popular college in Chennai for Arts and Sciences. The admission procedure is said to be online but visit the college once to make sure your application is recieved. A few meetings with the respective HOD and the principal might be there.
