MJPRU Admission Dates 2027

The 2027-28 admission process is expected to begin with CUET 2027 and UPCET 2027 registration. Students applying for PG courses should use the MJPRU portal after CUET PG results are announced.

MJPRU Courses and Fees

MJPRU runs courses in arts, science, engineering, management, pharmacy, education, and law through its 25 campus departments and 248 affiliated colleges. Campus fees are government-regulated, so traditional arts and science courses remain low-cost compared with technical and professional programmes.

Hostel charges at MJPRU go up to INR 12,550 per year for both boys’ and girls’ hostels. Across all programmes, the fee range is INR 2,950 to INR 6.01 Lakhs, depending on course type and duration.

MJPRU Admission Process

MJPRU admits students through national, state-level, and university-level entrance tests. CUET is used for most UG and PG admissions in university departments and affiliated colleges.

UG Admissions (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA)

For most UG courses, students need Class XII in the relevant stream with at least 45% aggregate. MJPRU uses CUET UG scores to prepare merit lists and allot seats in departments and affiliated colleges.

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech applicants must have Class XII with PCM and 45% aggregate. Admission is mainly through UPCET, while JEE Main scores may also be considered for engineering colleges affiliated with MJPRU.

Pharmacy Admission (B.Pharm)

B.Pharm requires Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology with 45% aggregate. Admission is through CUET UG or a university-level entrance test. For M.Pharm, MJPRU accepts GPAT scores, and students without GPAT may take the university entrance test.

PG Admissions (MA, M.Sc, MBA, M.Ed)

PG applicants need a relevant bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate. Admission is through CUET PG or departmental entrance tests for specialised courses. MBA admissions also accept MAT and CMAT scores. B.Ed and M.Ed admissions follow the UP B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination route.

Medical Admissions (MBBS, BDS, BAMS)

MBBS, BDS, and BAMS seats in MJPRU-affiliated medical colleges are filled through NEET UG. Seat allotment takes place through UP state counselling by DGME, UP, and through the All India Quota. MJPRU does not directly conduct NEET admissions.

PhD Admission

PhD applicants must have post-graduation with 55% aggregate and a valid UGC-NET, JRF, or MJPRU Research Entrance Test score. Most research programmes also include a departmental interview after the written test.

MJPRU Placements

Placements at MJPRU are stronger in technical and management departments. In NIRF 2026 placement reporting, UG four-year graduates placed through university channels received a median salary of INR 7.92 LPA. The figure covers graduates from engineering, pharmacy, and management programmes.

Cisco Systems, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, Infosys, and Azim Premji Foundation are among the recruiters that visit MJPRU departments. IT service companies mainly hire from technical courses, while education and social-sector recruiters take students from education and social work departments. These placement figures refer to university-campus programmes only, and outcomes at affiliated colleges differ by college type and location.

MJPRU Rankings

MJPRU appears in NIRF for the University and Pharmacy categories. Its A++ NAAC grade also works as an important quality marker for the institution.

The 86 rank in NIRF Pharmacy reflects MJPRU’s pharmacy school, which offers B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and PhD programmes in pharmaceutical sciences research. The A++ NAAC grade also places MJPRU among a limited group of state affiliating universities in Uttar Pradesh with this grade.

MJPRU Campus and Infrastructure

MJPRU has a 206-acre campus in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. It includes 25 teaching departments, administrative blocks, central and departmental libraries, computer labs, science research centres, and a sports complex. Boys’ and girls’ hostels are available separately, with fees up to INR 12,550 per year.

MJPRU Scholarships

MJPRU students can apply for central and state government scholarships as well as merit-based support from the university. Scholarship registration is usually done after admission through the National Scholarship Portal and UP state portals.

For eligible students, scholarships may cover 80% to 100% of fees. This can make campus education nearly free for SC, ST, and economically weaker section students. Students should complete registration on scholarships.gov.in and the UP scholarship portal within the first month after admission.

MJPRU vs CCSU Meerut vs University of Lucknow

Students in Uttar Pradesh often compare MJPRU with Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut, and the University of Lucknow. All three serve large numbers of UP-domicile students across arts, science, commerce, and professional courses in the state university system.

MJPRU has the highest NAAC grade, A++, among these three universities. The University of Lucknow has the oldest legacy and a stronger urban presence because it is located in the state capital. CCSU Meerut has a larger affiliated college network in West UP.
