Registrations for GATE CCMT 2024 counselling Phase 2, for admission to MTech, MArch, and MPlan courses at NIT Puducherry, expected to be started on July 12, 2024.
NIT Puducherry was established in 2009 as part of the project under the NIT Act 2007. In 2024, NIT Puducherry is ranked 97 in the Engineering category by NIRF. The college offers both B. Tech and M.Tech degrees along with Ph.D. A total of around 958 students can get enrolled in all of the courses offered by the NIT Puducherry. Candidates applying for BTech must appear for JEE Main. M.Tech and Ph.D. candidates should hold a valid GATE/NET score to be eligible to apply for NIT Puducherry Admissions.
Candidates applying for a Ph.D. in any specialization must have a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline. Selection in B.Tech. is conducted based on JEE rank, followed by a counseling session where seats are allotted according to merit. M.Tech and Ph.D. seats will be granted based on GATE/NET score.

The academic and course curriculum is same like every NIT or IIT. The campus follows the NEP 2020 education guidelines and 3 exams were conducted per semester for evaluation and additionally assignments and lab sessionsn will be conducted. Make up examination will be conducted after every semester.
The placements are average compared to other NITs but we can get decent package in the on campus placement. The training and placement cell is very active and always helps students to attain their skills . And every week there will be some workshop for placements for 3rd and 4th year students.

Read Full ReviewThe professors and assistant professors are well-qualified and teach well. We have a program called NEP which fastens the regular curriculum. We have national scholarships provided. There is a minimum fee per semester.
I plan to get placed on the campus itself If not with the skills learned and internships and projects done I can manage by getting even outside and I also prepare for the gate that also helps with my placement and job opportunities.
Read Full ReviewProfessors are helpful but it depends on how you have to approach them to get help they will only help if you approach them. The curriculum is new as per NEP which is a very good thing. Rest just stay updated with technology.
To be on safer side maintain at least a 7.5 cgpa and just do your best. Be stand out of the crowd do new things and explore yourself. Companies only take really smart people. So be in that category. Placements overall are average.

There are scholarships given to students that you can check on NSP website. Fees is very much affordable.
Placements actually depends more on your talent. Here companies are coming to hire students every year and if you have done enough efforts you will grab a good job easily. In case you couldn't got job you can try off campus with the NIT tag with you.

I got some good profs who are well experienced leaving those common subjects the core faculty is awesome . They help you out in learning things , if you are interested then sky is the limit. We have total 3 exams per semester 2 mids and 1 end sem approx there will be 1 or 1 ½ month gap between each exam . Difficultly level is pretty good if you study well you can score well it's all up to you how you prepare. The fees and all depends on the income of your parents , it's not too high it is affordable and we do have many scholarships and the college is really supportive in helping out with scholarships
Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements
