UEM Kolkata Admission Dates 2027

UEM Kolkata takes B.Tech admissions through WBJEE for West Bengal-domicile students, JEE Main for national-merit seats, and IEMJEE, the university's own entrance test for students from any state. The 2026-27 cycle is over, and the 2027-28 schedule below is tentative as per the usual West Bengal and IEMJEE admission calendar.

For MBA admission in the 2027 intake, UEM Kolkata considers CAT 2026 or MAT scores. M.Tech admission follows GATE 2027 results, expected in March 2027. MCA admission is based on WBJEE MCA or university-level test scores.

UEM Kolkata Courses and Fees

UEM Kolkata runs UG, PG, and doctoral programmes in engineering, computing, management, law, hospitality, and applied sciences. All B.Tech branches under the general quota have the same total fee of INR 9.45 Lakhs for 4 years. Hostel accommodation for boys and girls is available at INR 1.05 Lakhs per year.

The B.Tech fee remains uniform across CSE and core engineering branches, so students do not pay a higher fee only for computing branches. BCA costs INR 3.70 Lakhs, while MCA costs INR 3.00 Lakhs. The MBA fee is INR 7.00 Lakhs, and the BBA and LLB (Hons.) fee is INR 5.10 Lakhs for the full integrated 5-year course.

UEM Kolkata Admission Process

For B.Tech, UEM Kolkata follows three admission routes. Students with West Bengal domicile can apply through WBJEE rank-based counselling. JEE Main scores are used for national-merit seats. Students from any state can also take IEMJEE, which is usually conducted in February or March every year. For B.Tech eligibility, students need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with at least 45% aggregate marks. SC, ST, and OBC students need 40% aggregate marks.

For BCA and BBA, students must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. BCA also needs Mathematics at the 10+2 level. For the integrated BBA and LLB programme, UEM Kolkata also accepts CLAT scores from students choosing the national law entrance route.

MBA admission is based on CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores. Applicants need a graduate degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks. M.Tech admission gives preference to students with a valid GATE score in the related discipline. MCA applicants must have a BCA, B.Sc, or engineering degree with Mathematics, and admission is through WBJEE MCA or a university-level test.

UEM Kolkata does not publicly announce minimum WBJEE or JEE Main cutoffs. Past admission trends show that B.Tech CSE is the most competitive branch. Students from outside West Bengal commonly use IEMJEE or JEE Main because these routes do not require WB domicile for state counselling.

IEM, School of UEM Kolkata, has regular placement activity for engineering and management students. According to NIRF 2025 data, 774 undergraduate students were placed through campus drives. The highest package was INR 32 LPA, and the B.Tech median salary was INR 6 LPA. PG management students recorded a median salary of INR 16.40 LPA.

Recruiters at UEM Kolkata include TCS, Wipro, IDFC First Bank, ITC Limited, Bandhan Bank, Berger Paints, and Cognizant. TCS was the single largest recruiter in 2025-26, with 112 students placed.
