IIM Jammu Admission Dates 2027

The MBA 2026-28 admission process at IIM Jammu has ended. The next MBA batch, 2027-29, will be linked to CAT 2026. CAT registration closes on September 15, 2026, and the exam is planned for November 29, 2026. The expected schedule for MBA admissions is given below.

For IPM 2027, JIPMAT registration is expected in April 2027. IIM Jammu accepts different selection routes for different programmes, as shown below.

IIM Jammu Courses and Fees

IIM Jammu offers full-time management courses, an integrated course after Class 12, executive education, and a doctoral route for working professionals. The 2-year MBA and MBA Healthcare Administration programmes have total fees of INR 23.31 Lakhs. The 5-year IPM has a total fee of INR 43.69 Lakhs.

Students can stay in hostels on the permanent campus at Jagti. Hostel accommodation costs INR 73,500 per year. Mess charges are separate and are charged as per actual use. Separate hostels are available for male and female students.

IIM Jammu Admission Process

IIM Jammu selects MBA students through CAT and a two-stage admission process. IPM admission is handled separately through JIPMAT. The institute does not have a management quota or NRI quota for any course.

MBA and MBA Healthcare Administration Admission

For MBA and MBA Healthcare Administration, the first shortlist is prepared using CAT percentile cutoffs. For the 2026-28 batch, General category male candidates needed 91 overall percentile, while female and transgender candidates needed 89 overall percentile. The sectional cutoff was 72 percentile each in VARC, DILR, and QA. After the shortlist, the final merit list is made from a 100-point composite score.

• Eligibility: Candidates need a recognised bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks. The minimum is 45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. Final-year students can apply provisionally.
• Composite score: The final score includes CAT score for 42 marks, Personal Interview through IIM CAP for 30 marks, Academic Profile covering Class 10, Class 12, and graduation for 10 marks, Work Experience for 10 marks, and Gender Diversity bonus for female and transgender candidates for 8 marks.
• Cutoff context: For the 2026-28 batch, General male candidates had an overall cutoff of 91 percentile. The overall cutoff for female candidates was 89 percentile because the composite score includes an 8-mark diversity bonus. In high-competition years, the actual score needed may be above the listed minimum.

IPM (5-year BBA + MBA) Admission

The Integrated Programme in Management takes 140 students after Class 12. Admission is through JIPMAT, which is conducted by NTA. Students do not need CAT during the course. After completing the 5-year residential programme, graduates receive both BBA and MBA degrees.

• Eligibility: Students must have passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, or must be appearing in 2026. They need at least 60% in both Class 10 and Class 12. The minimum is 55% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• Selection: IIM Jammu gives 70% weightage to JIPMAT score, 15% to Class 10 marks, and 15% to Class 12 marks. No personal interview is needed for IPM.
• Cutoff context: General category candidates must score at least 50 sectional percentile in each of the three JIPMAT sections before the merit list is used.

EMBA Admission

CAT is not required for the EMBA course. Applicants need a recognised graduation degree, at least 50% marks, and a minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience. The institute selects candidates on the basis of their work profile and personal interview.

IIM Jammu Placements

IIM Jammu completed placements 2025 with 100% placement. The MBA batch received a highest package of INR 31.75 LPA and an average CTC of INR 15.48 LPA. In the same placement season, MBA-HAM students received a highest package of INR 32 LPA and an average package of INR 14.01 LPA.

More than 200 recruiters took part in the placement process and made over 250 offers. Over 50 companies joined IIM Jammu placements for the first time in 2025. Recruiters came from consulting, BFSI, technology, healthcare, and FMCG. The Jammu location also helped bring government and public-sector companies into the placement process.

IIM Jammu alumni have entered areas such as management consulting, product management, investment banking, healthcare strategy, and operations. MBA-HAM prepares students for management roles connected with healthcare delivery, and its recruiter base includes hospital chains, health insurance firms, and pharmaceutical companies.

IIM Jammu Rankings

IIM Jammu has secured the #35 rank in Management in NIRF 2025. Since it is among the newer IIMs, the institute is still expanding its performance in areas such as research, placements, and outreach. The permanent campus at Jagti and the improved 2025 placement outcomes are expected to support future NIRF performance.

IIM Jammu takes part in the NIRF ranking process every year. Its ranking progress is linked to the full use of the Jagti campus and the growth of research work as the faculty base becomes more established.

IIM Jammu Scholarships

IIM Jammu offers financial support based on merit and need for MBA students from the second year onward. Students from SC, ST, OBC, and minority categories can also use government schemes run through the relevant ministries.

IIM Jammu Campus and Infrastructure

IIM Jammu has a permanent campus of 200 acres at Jagti. The campus is 14 km from Jammu city and 18 km from Jammu Airport. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in February 2024 and was built at a project cost of INR 500 crores.

The campus includes smart classrooms, the Nalanda central library, hostels for male and female students, faculty blocks, administrative blocks, sports areas, and Wi-Fi across the full 200-acre campus. The network has more than 500 devices. Academic, residential, and support facilities are placed within one integrated campus.

Jammu Airport, located 18 km from the campus, has direct flight links to Delhi, Mumbai, and other metro cities. The campus is close to the Pir Panjal foothills, giving IIM Jammu a different setting from other IIMs in India. Education investment by the Jammu and Kashmir administration may also support institutional infrastructure in the coming years.

IIM Jammu vs IIM Sambalpur vs IIM Sirmaur

IIM Jammu, IIM Sambalpur, and IIM Sirmaur are third-generation IIMs. All three were established under the IIM Act 2017 and attract many of the same MBA aspirants in the 85 to 95 CAT percentile range. The table compares important points students usually check before choosing between them.

IIM Jammu stands out for its MBA-HAM and 5-year IPM courses. Its 200-acre permanent campus in Jammu is also a major infrastructure point and is the largest IIM campus by area.
