Cluster University of Jammu Admission to UG courses are on a merit basis while for UG (Hons) and PG integrated, candidates have to appear and secure a valid score in the Cluster University of Jammu Entrance Test (CLUJET). Cluster University of Jammu was established under the banner of the centrally sponsored scheme RUSA with the Srinagar and Jammu Act of 2016. The university forms a cluster of five pre-existing colleges with five new PG integrated schools catering to different disciplines namely the School of Sciences, School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, School of Social Sciences, School of Teacher Education and School of Engineering & Computer Technology.

Cluster University of Jammu BBA and BCA Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Part-II examination under the 10+2 pattern of J&K State Board of School Education or an examination recognized by the University with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of SC/ST).
  • Candidates outside Jammu and Kashmir will have to secure a minimum of 60% marks from the respective board or university and on such arrangement comprise 10% of seats.

Selection Criteria

Selection to both BBA and BCA at Cluster University of Jammu and Kashmir is on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For B.Sc courses, candidates will need to pass 10+2 with respective subjects as relevant to the course to which they apply i.e for B.Sc maths candidates must have passed 10+2 with mathematics.
  • Candidates outside Jammu and Kashmir will have to secure a minimum of 60% marks from the respective board or university and on such arrangement comprise 10% of seats.

Selection Criteria

Candidates are selected for UG courses and UG (Hons) for the academic year 2022-23 based on merit.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MA: Candidates having completed BA (Hons) or 10+2+3 pattern with the respective subject as the main elective can apply. For English, if seats are available, non-English electives will be considered.
  • M.Sc: Candidates who have a B.Sc (Hons) or B.A/B.Sc in respective subjects or as an elective.
  • M.Com: Candidates who have B.Com (Gen.) & B.Com (Hons). 10% seats are available to B.A./ B.Sc./ B.B.A/ BCA or any other UG degree holder with minimum 60% marks. 
  • M.Ed: Candidates with B.Ed. with at least 50% marks from a recognised university.

Selection Criteria

Selection for the 2022-23 session is based on merit as CLUJET will not be conducted in light of Covid-19.

  • B.Ed + M.Ed: Candidates who have taken the PG Examination of any recognized university with minimum 55% Marks.
  • Candidates who have appeared for Higher Secondary Part-II Examination in 10+2 Pattern of The Jammu & Kashmir State Board of School Education or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST categories) in relevant or related subjects as mentioned below
    • Chemistry: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics
    • Mathematics/ Physics: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
    • Botany/Zoology: Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Selection Criteria

Admission takes place on the basis of merit for these courses to the 2022-23 session. 

How to Apply?

The application process for all courses follows the same procedure with the sole difference being separate application forms for courses of UG and UG/ PG (Hons).

  • Visit the Cluster University of Jammu official website.
  • Register by clicking on the option “New Candidate Registration”
  • Log in with your application id and password and start filling the application form.
  • Accurately enter the appropriate details for Personal Details, Academic Detail, Category Details and Subject Preferences.
  • Check the preview form and correct any details if necessary.
  • Proceed with the final step by clicking on ‘Pay Fee’ and complete online payment.

Cluster University of Jammu: FAQ

Ques. Can I only register online for the Cluster University of Jammu?

Ans. Yes, the application process for admission to all courses at the Cluster University of Jammu is conducted online. There is no offline application form available for the same. Candidates can only apply via online mode.

Ques. Can I make changes to the application form for the Cluster University of Jammu?

Ans. You can make changes to any errors in entry by using the “Edit” button. However, changes can only be made before the payment of fees. There is no option for making changes after payment is made. 

Ques. Can I apply to ECA or sports quota at the Cluster University of Jammu?

Ans. Yes, you can apply to ECA or sports quota by choosing the required fields in the application form. Another point to note is that there is no separate application fee for these options. 

Ques. Can gap year students apply to the Cluster University of Jammu?

Ans. Yes, gap year students can apply for the Cluster University of Jammu as the admission process is the same for regular as well as gap year students. The only necessity is that they meet the eligibility criteria and have the necessary forms. 

Ques. Which are the constituent colleges of the Cluster University of Jammu?

Ans. There are five constituent colleges which are:

Ques. Is it possible to take admission to two separate courses at the Cluster University of Jammu?

Ans. You can only take admission to one course at a time. It is not possible to take admission to two different courses at a single institute or at separate colleges at the same time. If this happens the admission for both will get cancelled.
