Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Admission Dates 2026

NEET UG scores and Uttar Pradesh state counselling determine MBBS admission for the 2026-27 session. BAMS applicants must take part in UP NEET AYUSH counselling. MGUG uses CUET scores or its own admission process for programmes such as BBA, BCA, MBA, M.Sc and Agriculture. The following university admission deadline is still upcoming.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Courses and Fees

Students can choose from more than 36 degree, diploma and certificate programmes at MGUG. These courses cover medicine, AYUSH, nursing, pharmacy, management, agriculture, science and paramedical studies. The main courses, eligibility conditions, duration and total fees are given below.

The nine MBA specialisations are Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, Information Technology Business Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness Management, Hospital Administration and Healthcare Management, and Pharmaceutical Management.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Admission Process

The selection route at MGUG depends on the programme. Centralised counselling is compulsory for MBBS and BAMS, while university-managed courses use entrance scores or qualifying-examination merit. Applicants should meet the relevant eligibility rules before completing the required admission stages.

MBBS and BAMS Admission

MGUG does not hold a separate entrance examination for MBBS or BAMS. Both courses require a valid NEET UG score. The UP Directorate of Medical Education manages MBBS seat allotment through the state-quota counselling portal at upneet.gov.in. UP AYUSH counselling handles BAMS allotments. Students cannot seek direct college-level admission to either course outside these centralised processes.

An applicant must meet all of the following MBBS and BAMS requirements:

• Study Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects in 10+2
• Secure at least 50% in PCB under the General category or 40% under the SC, ST or OBC reserved categories
• Be at least 17 years old on December 31 of the admission year
• Hold a valid NEET UG score

The UP state-quota MBBS process follows these steps:

• Qualify NEET UG and receive a valid score
• Register for Uttar Pradesh counselling at upneet.gov.in
• Attend document verification at the assigned nodal centre
• Enter and lock college choices online before seat allotment
• Pay the required fee and report to MGUG after receiving a seat

Nursing, Pharmacy and Allied Health Admission

For B.Sc Nursing and GNM, selection is based on 10+2 PCB marks and the eligibility standards of the Indian Nursing Council. B.Pharma applicants may use a CUET UG score or seek selection through qualifying-examination merit. D.Pharma admission follows the rules of the UP State Pharmacy Council.

Admission to the Anaesthesia Technician, Dialysis Technician, Emergency and Trauma Care Technician, Laboratory Techniques, Optometry and Orthopaedic Technician diplomas is direct. Applicants need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Management, Science and Agriculture Admission

The MGUG admission office processes applications for BBA, BCA, B.Sc and B.Sc Agriculture using CUET UG results or 10+2 merit. MBA and MCA applicants may submit CUET PG scores or take the university entrance examination. M.Sc and Ph.D selection follows UGC requirements, and doctoral applicants must take the university-level Research Entrance Test.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Placements

Because MGUG opened in 2021, its placement system is still in its first few cycles. The initial MBA and BBA batches completed their courses in 2023 and 2024. Their early opportunities were mainly with employers in Gorakhpur, Lucknow and the wider Purvanchal market. MBBS students usually continue toward MD or MS by qualifying NEET PG.

After MBBS, graduates complete a compulsory one-year rotating internship at the campus hospital or Guru Shri Gorakshnath Chikitsalaya. They can then qualify NEET PG for an MD or MS programme or apply to the UP State Health Services through the UPPSC Medical Officer examination. BAMS graduates commonly enter private Ayurvedic practice after registering with the UP Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Board or pursue an MD in Ayurveda through AYUSH PG counselling.

Graduates from management, pharmacy and science programmes receive opportunities in the healthcare, FMCG, logistics, banking and agriculture sectors in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Campus recruitment also draws on industry connections maintained by university faculty and the wider institutional network of the Yogi Adityanath trust.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Campus and Infrastructure

MGUG occupies more than 200 acres at Sonbarsa on Balapar Road in Gorakhpur. Its 350-bed, multi-speciality campus hospital gives MBBS, BAMS, nursing and paramedical students practical clinical exposure. Students also train through the university's association with Guru Shri Gorakshnath Chikitsalaya, a large teaching hospital in Gorakhpur city.

Separate academic buildings serve medicine, AYUSH, pharmacy, nursing, management, agriculture and science students. Learning facilities include smart-board classrooms, subject-specific laboratories, campus Wi-Fi and a central library. The paramedical facilities include an anatomy laboratory, dissection hall, clinical skills laboratory and spaces designed for simulation-based training.

Men and women have separate on-campus hostels. Other facilities include a sports ground, a guest house and a canteen that serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Construction continues on additional residential and academic blocks because the campus is still new.

Mahayogi Gorakhnath University vs Teerthanker Mahaveer University vs Era University

MGUG, Teerthanker Mahaveer University in Moradabad and Era University in Lucknow are private universities in Uttar Pradesh with medical schools and postgraduate programmes outside medicine. All three have UGC recognition. Their establishment years, approvals, institutional status and leading courses differ as shown below.

Teerthanker Mahaveer University has operated for more than 15 years and holds a NAAC A grade, giving it the longest institutional history among the three. Era University belongs to a similar establishment period as MGUG and offers the benefit of a Lucknow location. Within Purvanchal, MGUG is the only private university that combines modern medicine through MBBS, traditional medicine through BAMS, management and agriculture. This mix gives it a separate regional position.
