CVS - A MEMORABLE JOURNEY

What I Liked

Everything is best this college. There is a good decent crowd in the college , no ragging and all . Students love to interact and make new friends . Canteen has chole bhature , paneer parantha , rajma chawal , samosa , chowmein samosa and many more things at a very affordable rate .
This college doesn’t allow entry into the college without id card , it is necessary to carry to enter in college , college has a well maintained infrastructure.

What I didn’t like

The only thing i disliked was it was 1 hour away from my home due to which i have to travelled a lot to attend only 2 class some days.
In my course their is no off on Saturday, there is a regular day , but it provides on holiday on monday instead of satuday which i never understood why.

Placement Experience:

Many big companies come with package for around 3 LPA - 8LPA . Depending on your skills and score they will select students who they will find suitable for their benefit . First their is an online interview that there is a further process.

Remarks:

There is just one entrance exam for graduation CUET , which i appeared for , i scored great marks that alloted me Aryabhatta college in 1 st list and in 2nd i got CVS ( this college) and i chose this one. There is no GD or PI for admission , just one exam is enough to be admitted in the college of your choice as per your efficiency in that CUET exam .

Good college

What I Liked

I like college infrastructure and the campus and also the food of canteen

What I didn’t like

Admin staff is not that much good they don't behave nicely with students

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell is the college name aspire and it provides intership also to students and have good placement after graduation and there is in college placement and you can grab these opportunities

Remarks:

There was a written test for admission in this college and there was cuet and after cuet you have to fill preference list according to your self and then the university will allot you collage according to your marks

The Experience Of CVS

What I Liked

The college campus size is huge plus great architecture plus aesthetic places.
The faculty is great, well trained and experienced.
The canteen place is quite affordable food options.
The college has a lot of great societies plus exciting events

What I didn’t like

The washrooms in the college does not have any sanity and are never cleaned.
Few professors do not take classes and never complete syllabus
The college administration maximum time delays the work.

Placement Experience:

Aspire is the training and placement cell of CVS. Some of the prominent recruiters in the past year placement (2023-24) were Deloitte, AON, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Tata consultancy services, Decathlon, Indigo and many more. There were 600+ offers made with average package of 5LPA and highest package of 23.05LPA.

Remarks:

I always wanted to get into a Delhi university college thus I had put CVS in my preference list. In order to get into this college the student has to give the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). After giving the same he has fill application form for Delhi University and put CVS in the preference list. The cut-off keeps on changing. In 2024 one had to get minimum of 728/800 in CUET to get into the college through general category. Other categories cut off were lower.

What I Liked

The campus is full of greenery and it has a huge ground
The campus give you a very good vibe because of the iconic red brick building and the location of the college is the best

What I didn’t like

The college lacks a proper basketball court
The water quality is not not good at all so be prepared to buy a lot of packaged water but now they are trying to improve it

Placement Experience:

There are campus placement organised by the placement cell but a lot of reputed companies do not take part it in and the average package is of 6 lpa but you have to score 7.5 cgpa to sit in the placement round i will most probably pursue mba as it goes well with this course

Remarks:

I chose this college for this unique course as i have a interest in marketing and this course gives me a in depth knowledge about it. And the location of the college is also very accessible as it hardly 800 meters from chirag delhi metro station

Underrated College of Delhi University

What I Liked

Infrastructure is one the best thing about cvs
Crowd is very good of my college making it best place to be

What I didn’t like

My college is very far from Metro station
Faculty is not good of my college, admin office is the worst place of our college.

Placement Experience:

Our college has placement sell name Aspire, In our college the highest placements placed are in hons course such as BMS BBE Eco hons CS hons the avg package is between 6-9 Lpa of our college. Making this the best thing about our college.

Remarks:

This college was way better then other South campus college because it has best infrastructure surrounding and specially crowd. I was getting one of the best course offered in Delhi University that's why I choose this college.

College of vocational studies- A step to your goals

What I Liked

Faculty- super kind and well known faculty members. They are the most senior most teachers in the college. They will teach you in the best possible way.
Societies- comes with a lot of fun abd responsibilites would actually change you as a person. It’s super fun at the same time. College life is incomplete without this.
Canteen - food in canteen is okayish my favourite is springroll maggie and chole bhature prices are also reasonable

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure- we have three buildings old new and super new the old one is really bad condition however the other two buildings are super pretty.
Administration- is not very systematic. Work is never done on time. Nd has very bad management.
Washrooms- i never found it comfortable. Always in bad condition
Student politics- can affect you even if you are involved or not . It’s that bad

Placement Experience:

We have a placement cell which is doing really great they do bring in companies where they recruit some students. So the placement is solely done by the students itself.where they use their connections and bring in companies. Avg package is 5-8 lakhs however no particular placement for history students as our career path is different however you cab still apply for these jobs

Remarks:

The history department faculty is really impressive. Full of great scholars who will make you feel home and teaches you beyond books. One bad thing about the college is the poor administration. It takes a lot of time and irregularities to get something done. Staff wnd crowd are really good .

Placement Experience:

Not so sure about the placements but there are various internships offered throughout the years or you can search for them yourself as Delhi has various employment opportunities that can help you in the process and can also help in profile building.

Remarks:

The factors that led me to choose this college are it is more of a career focused college that provide various hons as well as vocational courses. Widely known for the various societies and the knowledgeable teaching staff CVS is worth trying for.

The complete Guide of CVS

What I Liked

1.Faculty members The faculty members are so easy to contact with and they are so approachable that gives a confidence in freshers to come and have fun with them
2. Society culture These all societies hold jamming session and fun games to play and win and interact with the seniors which is a truly mesmerizing events.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure if the college is not so great as in the rainy season the college is filled with water with potholes
The canteen food is not great and it's not a big place it usually gets crowded.
The classroom is filled with humidity as sometimes the fan also doesn't work

Placement Experience:

There are many placement and interships opportunity in the college. This college has a seperate cell related to placement called aspire, they bring well renounced companies into the college for jobs, companies like EY,KPMG Deloitte have offered placements in the college. The highest package ever offered to any student is 23.05 lPA from the company DE shaw india and the average package is 5 LPA. The no. Kf companies for placement ate 600+ and for interships ate 700+

Remarks:

This course gives the introduction to the marketing world and how does the company develop strategies to market their products in the real world. To get into this course u will have to give CUET exam. The last cut off for this course was 643. This is a B.A vocational course. After giving the exam u have to sign up in CSAS portal of Delhi University. This course is very good in terms of knowledge.

GLIMPSE OF CVS

What I Liked

Faculties members always on time in the classroom teaches very well , and very supportive.
The best is different different society where you can work according to your interest,

What I didn’t like

There is no good facilities of toilet, students and canteen staff use same toilet In which mostly the staff enters the toilet and the toilet mostly remains dirty, whose cleaning is always going on
Classes after classes sometime we don't even get free time for lunch . Canteen facility also not good

Placement Experience:

Cvs doesn't offer any placement for history honours, after done your graduation there are several options where you can make your future like teaching, archeologist, professor, can prepare for any government exam .

Remarks:

I had given cuet an entrance exam for taking admission in any regular college after 12 NTA conducts this exam every year by that you can get your dream college I didn't choose this college,I have been given this according to my preference and based on my performance in the exam , I have been given college according to my score I have pursuing regular college so there is no cut off or merit criteria, simply I had prepared for cuet at home without any coaching and then I got this college .

Is bbe worth it or not in cvs

What I Liked

Campus life is great here as you can join loads of societies
Faculty here is so helpful and knowledgeable

What I didn’t like

The time table is not at all organised here
Campus is quite small in size and the classes are old

Placement Experience:

Placements are great here and students can do internships from 1st year only and their is a placement cell society students can join which helps you to get incampus jobs the highest package for bbe course was 21 LPA

Remarks:

The BBE course i pursued is so good here. Department are dedicated for this particular course and faculty here is so good for this course. The admission is through CUET exam and the cutoff for 1st round was 400/650 (English,General test, Mathematics )
