SGGSCC Admission Dates 2027

SGGSCC uses the University of Delhi's CUET-based admission schedule. The tentative 2027-28 timeline starts with CUET UG registration and continues through the DU Common Seat Allocation System, or CSAS.

SGGSCC Courses and Fees

SGGSCC provides undergraduate, postgraduate and short-term study options in commerce, economics, management, computer science and languages. Each degree programme is affiliated with the University of Delhi. The following course fees apply to the 2026 session.

Students may also take the Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing (PGDIM), the Diploma in Business Journalism and Corporate Communication (DBJCC), or short certificate courses in Financial Modeling, French, German, Japanese and Advanced Excel. Each of these programmes costs INR 0.17 Lakhs.

SGGSCC Admission Process

UG Admission Through CUET UG and CSAS

Admission to every SGGSCC undergraduate course depends on the applicant's CUET UG score and seat allocation through DU CSAS, the Common Seat Allocation System.

1. Take CUET UG with the subjects required for the chosen programme.
2. Register on the DU CSAS portal after appearing for the entrance examination.
3. Arrange SGGSCC and the preferred programmes in priority order during preference filling.
4. Complete the admission requirements after receiving a seat through a CSAS allocation round.

• B.Com (Hons.) applicants need Mathematics or Accountancy in Class 12 and at least 45 per cent marks.
• BMS, BA (Hons.) Economics and BA (Hons.) Business Economics applicants need 45 per cent marks in Class 12 and may come from any stream.
• B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science requires Mathematics or Computer Science at the 10+2 level.
• Seats are reserved for Sikh applicants because SGGSCC is a minority institution. Applicants claiming this quota must provide the required community certificate during CSAS.

CUET 2025 Cutoffs

The following final-round CUET closing scores applied to General Category applicants in 2025. A cutoff can change according to the applicant category and the CSAS allocation round.

PG Admission Through CUET PG

M.Com applicants must hold a B.Com degree with at least 50 per cent marks. Selection is based on CUET PG, while postgraduate seats are assigned through the DU CSAS portal.

SGGSCC Career Outcomes

SGGSCC does not conduct the type of formal campus recruitment drive commonly found at engineering colleges. Career preparation and links with industry are instead supported by the Training and Placement Cell, the Centre for Professional Development and the CIIA-NEST innovation and incubation hub.

Career choices vary by programme. Many B.Com (Hons.) and BA (Hons.) Economics graduates enter the ICAI Chartered Accountancy route, prepare for an MBA through CAT, study law, or seek work in banking and finance. BMS students often continue to an MBA or take up marketing, human resources and operations roles. After B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science, students may apply for technology placements or pursue MCA, M.Sc and MBA-Tech programmes.

The college's NIRF rank of 32 and NAAC A++ grade add recognition to applications for further study. Its Pitampura location also gives students access to corporate areas in North West Delhi and metro connections to central Delhi.

SGGSCC Rankings

SGGSCC stands among India's top 35 colleges after securing the 32nd rank in the NIRF College Rankings 2025. NAAC has awarded the institution its highest grade, A++, for standards related to teaching, research and student outcomes. The University of Delhi has also recognised SGGSCC for academic and co-curricular excellence.

SGGSCC Scholarships

Financial assistance at SGGSCC includes college-level awards as well as scholarship schemes run by central and state governments. Depending on the scheme, support is available for academic merit, financial need, Sikh minority status or postgraduate study.

SGGSCC Campus and Infrastructure

SGGSCC occupies 10.7 acres in Pitampura, New Delhi, close to the Pitampura TV Tower and the Pitampura Metro station on the Red Line. Students have access to an auditorium for events and co-curricular programmes, a central library with digital resources, ICT-enabled computer laboratories, a Gurudwara Sahib, a cafeteria and on-campus banking facilities.

The Centre for Professional Development arranges workshops and interactions with industry. The campus also contains the SGGSCC CIIA-NEST innovation and incubation hub. Through its Research Cell, the college publishes the Journal of Business Thought as an annual refereed journal.

Accommodation is available for male and female students. Depending on the room category, annual hostel charges can reach INR 1.52 Lakhs. The girls' hostel includes mess and recreational facilities.

SGGSCC vs SRCC vs Ramjas College

Students selecting commerce or economics programmes through DU CSAS often consider SGGSCC, Shri Ram College of Commerce and Ramjas College. Although all three belong to the University of Delhi and have established academic records, their programme mix, NIRF positions and CUET closing levels differ.

SRCC has the strongest placement record and alumni network in finance and consulting among these three colleges. SGGSCC combines a dedicated commerce setting with a 32nd NIRF rank and an A++ NAAC grade, and its Sikh minority quota is relevant to eligible applicants. Ramjas College covers a wider selection of science, humanities and commerce subjects, while its CUET cutoff for commerce is lower.
