Placement Experience:

For, placements, we have the ignite cell, which provides internships (all types, all courses) for the students. I am not sure about the placements but as per college, they provide placements as well.

Remarks:

There is only one test that is CUET to get admission in the Delhi University, the colleges are provided based on the preference list you give and your marks in CUET. I preferred history since for any humanities student, the first preference is Pol. Sci. , then history, I also gave my first preference for Pol. Sci. but didn't get it, and therefore I got my second preference as history. Subject choice purely depends on the student whether he/she wants to go in a particular field or do it just for the sake of graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had intrest in history from the very starting that's why I choose history hons as a course. The faculty that teaches me are most of them senior professor and the teaching method is great by using plt and visiting historical sites they made history very interesting. Exams are only once a semester means twice a year. Difficulty level was 8/10

Remarks:

The college is in North campus and it was my dream college from the school time. This college has the biggest ground of whole DU. The faculty is also very great. And yes I had to clear CUET before getting admission in this college. But tension not there were no group discussion or interviews. My cut off was 467 and I was shortlisted in the first round.

Placement Experience:

The Placement cell of the college is very active and works year-round to ensure that the best possible companies come to the campus to recruit students. There are no such specific eligibility criteria to sit for Placements although some companies do specify a minimum CGPA to sit for them. Last year companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, a nation with Namo, RSM, Tresvista etc visited the campus and 175+ offer letters were issued. The highest ctc offered was about 23.05 lakh per annum and the average and the median CTC were 5.8 and 6.05 lakh per annum respectively. The Placement cell also has an extensive internship department which has brought on board companies like Boat, Economic Times, FNP, AAP, times of India etc on campus to offer internships to students. The highest stipend being offered was 80k and the average stipend is 20k. The profiles that are usually hired include analysts, consultants etc.

Remarks:

Khalsa College is located in the north campus of Delhi University so that makes it a fairly decent choice if you want to study among the best crowd in Delhi. It is a Sikh minority college which is why almost 50 percent of the seats of this college are reserved for people from Sikh background but honestly, that does not affect the atmosphere in the college in any way. Admission here is based on the CUET exam like any other college at DU. Cuet is conducted by NTA in May and is based on the syllabus of the 12th grade. It is a CBT mcq-based exam. Du has different eligibility criteria for cuet for specific courses which you can find out from the main website. For example for my course economics, I had to give CUET compulsorily in Mathematics and English and then any two other subjects of my own choice. Once your current score is released by NTA, you then have to apply on DU's CSAS portal where you fill out a preference sheet according to your preferred course and college combination.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in our college. If you have good skills, internships, and a nice build resume you can be easily hired by good companies. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, and EY India come to recruit. The placement cells of each college try to achieve the target of 100% placements but it's not so some people do not take placements because of the low package offered and some even do not get jobs. To be eligible for placements you need to have at least one internship whether NGO or any paid internship and you also should not have any live backlogs.

Remarks:

I chose this college because my elder sibling and some of my cousins also graduated from this college and their experience was very good. As everyone knows DU North Campus has some of the best ranked colleges and it's best for b.com courses and also eco hons. There was no GD or Interview but I gave an entrance exam (CUET). Good marks in CUET can secure you a place in DU North Campus.
