Calcutta National Medical College (CNMC), previously known as Calcutta National Medical Institute, was established in 1948 and is under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of West Bengal. It was ranked 5th in the East zone for best medical colleges in 2017. The college offers preclinical, paraclinical and clinical programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels such as MBBS, M.Ch, DM, MD and MS. The college also provides diploma courses. Admission takes place based on NEET exams.
