DJSCE Admission Process

B.E. Admission

Maharashtra applicants are selected for DJSCE's B.E. programme through DTE Maharashtra CAP on the basis of MHT-CET scores. JEE Main Paper 1 scores are considered for All-India quota seats.

  • Complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • Secure at least 50% in aggregate, or 45% if applying as an SC, ST or OBC candidate from Maharashtra.
  • Hold a valid MHT-CET or JEE Main score.

The admission process proceeds in the following order:

  1. Take MHT-CET, or JEE Main Paper 1 when applying for an All-India quota seat.
  2. Register for the relevant DTE Maharashtra CAP process and submit the required academic and entrance test details.
  3. Participate in CAP seat allocation according to merit and the applicable seat category.
  4. After CAP ends, apply for any vacant seats offered through DJSCE's Institute Level Seat (ILS) process.

Under the college's Gujarati Linguistic Minority status, 51% of seats are reserved for Gujarati Linguistic Minority applicants from Maharashtra. These seats use a separate merit list. All other seats are available through the regular DTE Maharashtra CAP route for eligible applicants. The ILS process is Maharashtra's official direct-admission route for private unaided engineering colleges and is used to fill seats left after CAP.

M.Tech and Ph.D Admission

Applicants to M.Tech need a B.E. or B.Tech degree with at least 55% and a valid GATE score. DJSCE handles these admissions directly rather than through CCMT. For Ph.D admission, applicants must qualify through GATE, UGC-NET or the institutional entrance test and then attend an interview. GATE-qualified scholars enrolled in Ph.D programmes receive a monthly fellowship.

DJSCE Placements

For the 2025 batch, DJSCE reported 731 placements across its B.E. and M.Tech programmes. The season produced an average salary of INR 13 LPA, while the highest offer was INR 56 LPA.

Product-based companies and IT service firms mainly recruit from Computer Engineering and IT. Mechanical Engineering students receive opportunities in manufacturing, automobiles and infrastructure. The college's Mumbai location also connects students with technology parks and business campuses in Andheri, BKC and Powai.
