The placement records are pretty good every year such as 80%. The year I passed out which is 2023, the placement record for our batch was 100%. A lot of shipping companies like MOLTA, MOLMI, Fleet Management, Pacific International Lines, Maersk, Eastaway, VR Maritime, d'Amico, etc etc come to the college for campus placements.

Eligibility criteria for placement include nothing but an academic semester with no backlogs with a good aggregate. Big companies like Mol, Molta, Eastaway, Marshall, Sanmar, Chellaram, etc are some of the recruiters of HIMT. Each company will come once a year.

I have worked for an internship during my first year. and my presentation was on how to lower a lifeboat by using AI. For that, I made an AI that can be controlled by crew members with which we can lower the lifeboat.

Yes, the college is providing a good opportunity for everyone to attend the interview before passing out. We will be placed as a deck cadet onboard. As a deck cadet, we have to learn the duty from senior officers.

I have an Arrear in one subject and because of that, I didn't get a chance to attend an internship. However, my batchmates who cleared the subjects got the chance and were selected. But moreover I'm waiting for my internship.

There are several companies used to visit the college molme, molta, dianacom, d Amigo, fleet, marshal, and Samar these are the regular companies which used to take cadets from our college the college has post-sea courses also after completing the sailing we can do more courses in the college itself.
