I personally researched about this institute, I have faced Written exam and interview at the time of admission. Found that MANET, pune is one of the best Maritime college of Maharashtra. Also found that most experienced faculties are appointed for teaching.

Factors that made me join this college is that there are very few maritime colleges for bsc nautical science MANET being one of the best was on my bucket list. You just need to fill their admissions form and then interviews are held and students are selected based on their 12th pcm percentage

So I don't think so if a boy from a very poor family should apply for this college as the fees is high also expenses will be there like ordering food taking printouts and many more things. But if you can afford all these things then you can surely joint this college without any hesitation. Also if you want to join you have to give an entrance exam named imudet and get in it's cutoff range to get admission here. Preparation is very easy like it's level is of boards only so you will surely pass.

IMU CET exam and prepared for interview and basic knowledge of English and PCM. Now the good aspects of manet are placement is 90-95% and the bad aspects are fees are too high and the admission procedure you have to take of your pcm percentage and after college percentage.
