RGIPT BTech Admissions 2025

RGIPT offers BTech programs of 4-year duration in various specializations. The total course fee for BTech is INR 9.79 lakhs.

RGIPT BTech Admission 2025: Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates should have 60% minimum aggregate marks in class 12 or equivalent examination.
  • 55% minimum aggregate marks in the case of SC/ST/PwD category.
  • For International students, candidates seeking admission in B.Tech (Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Engineering) should possess at least 75% aggregate or 7.5 CPI in the senior secondary certificate examination with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as the compulsory subjects.

RGIPT BTech Admission 2025: Selection Criteria

  • The admission to BTech courses will be based on the JEE Advanced scores. The vacant seats after this, if any, will be filled by JEE Mains.

  • Candidate should have completed his/her BTech degree or an equivalent degree in Petroleum Engg., Petroleum Technology, Chemical Engg, and allied areas with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
  • Candidate should also clear the GATE exam.

RGIPT MTech: Selection Criteria

  • Eligible applications will be received and processed based on the applicant's merit and GATE score.
  • There is a 5% relaxation for SC/ST and other reserved category candidates.

RGIPT PhD: Eligibility criteria

  • To be eligible for admission, candidates must have at least 60% marks in the Master’s degree.
  • For candidates having a Bachelor’s degree, the minimum mark required for admission is 75%.
  • For candidates who have more than two years of professional experience, the minimum requirement is 70% marks.

RGIPT PhD: Selection Criteria

  • Admission to PhD courses is based on the GATE, NET, CAT, GRE, GPAT etc examinations.
  • All candidates should also participate in a written test and personal interview conducted by the admission committee.

Ques: Are there any exemptions from appearing for the written test conducted by the institution?

Answer: Yes. For PhD programs, the following category of candidates are exempted from appearing for the written test. External Registration Category, Sponsored registration category, Part-time registration category, Candidates with National level scholarship, and outstanding students from premier institutions.

Ques: Is the application process the same for international students?

Answer: The application process is the same but international students who wish to pursue any courses in RGIPT should apply through the ‘Study in India’ website.

Ques: Does the college offer any dual courses?

Answer: The college offers an integrated degree of 5 years in the engineering discipline. The integrated degree is available for chemical engineering and petroleum engineering. Students pursuing this course will be awarded B.Tech and M.Tech after 5 years/ successful completion of the course.

Ques: What are the requirements for registration after selection at RGIPT?

Answer: For registration into RGPIT, students are required to bring all the necessary documents like certificates, score cards, ID proofs, and photographs as mentioned in in the offer letter. After reaching campus, the student has to submit the doc to the concerned department followed by orientation. After this, the student will be issued an ID card for college and the process ends.
