SIT Lonavala BE Eligibility Criteria

Applicants seeking first-year BE admission must meet these conditions:

• Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Students must pass HSC, or Class 12, or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They must also study one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Electronics, or Entrepreneurship. The combined minimum is 45%. Maharashtra candidates from Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sections, or Persons with Disabilities need 40%. Applicants must also appear in every subject of MHT CET 2024 and obtain a non-zero score.
• A student with a Diploma in Engineering and Technology of at least 3 years may also apply. The required diploma score is 45%, or 40% for eligible Maharashtra category candidates.

SIT Lonavala BE Admission Process

BE selection mainly uses MHT CET and JEE Main scores. Students must register through Maharashtra's official CAP portal. Once Class 12, MHT CET, and JEE Main results are announced, applicants may contact the institute for help with the next steps. Admission directly into the second year of BE is open under the following rules:

• The applicant must be an Indian national.
• Students may qualify with a 3-year Diploma or a 2-year lateral-entry Diploma in Engineering and Technology from an institution approved by AICTE, the Central or State Government, or an equivalent authority. Any engineering branch is accepted. The minimum score is 45%, reduced to 40% for Maharashtra applicants from Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sections, or Persons with Disabilities.
• A B.Sc. graduate from a university recognized by the UGC or Association of Indian Universities may also apply with at least 45%, or 40% for eligible Maharashtra category applicants. Such students must have studied Mathematics at HSC or an equivalent level. A 3-year D.Voc. qualification in the same or a related field is another accepted route.
• Applicants must also satisfy any additional conditions issued by the relevant authority under the applicable regulations.

SIT Lonavala ME Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for an ME or M.Tech. programme must meet these requirements:

• The applicant must be an Indian national.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering and Technology field is required. The degree must come from an institution approved by AICTE, the Central or State Government, or another equivalent authority. Applicants need at least 50%. Maharashtra candidates from Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sections, or Persons with Disabilities need 45%.
• The bachelor's discipline must match the concerned university's eligibility rules for the selected postgraduate programme.
• An applicant must satisfy at least one of the following selection routes.
• The student may hold a valid, qualified GATE score for the current academic year.
• A student who appeared for GATE but received a non-qualified score may also be considered.
• An applicant may instead have at least 2 years of full-time experience in a relevant field. The experience must be from a recognized firm, company, industry, educational or research institute, government department, or government organization. This route applies only to institute-level admission.
• Admission preference goes first to GATE-qualified students, followed by applicants with a non-qualified GATE score. Students who did not appear for GATE or GPAT are considered after these groups.
