There's a exam held by hpu every year around June/july. And merit list is prepared on basis of that entrance exam, then with counselling process one can pursue his/her choice trade in engineering, also admission can occur with help of jee main marks

A areentrance exam is conducted every year called as HPUcet, PCm subjects are asked , and the exam level stays from moderate to tough. Then once the exam is done, in around a month first list of candidates come who are allotted their branch based in their preference in the online applications form, and the marks they got . 5 to 6 such lists come and at last students are given a week to submit the 73000 addmition fees, and if a student do not submit the fees in the time given his name gets removed and that seat is alloted to someone else based on ranking system . Now talking about the college, it's not very good but nice enough, there is only one building of our college , there is no campus other than that, that is the complaint of the most people, rest teachers are good, are masters of there subjects, we get free wifi, library acess, get stifunds if working for research and development, have good labs. The college itself is at a very good location, summerhill is a good place to be.

Since it's the only engineering college under Himachal's present university, it has become the best engineering college around Himachal Pradesh. An entrance exam is held for everyone to enrol into the college.

Ease to maintain CGPA The main reason for anyone to join engineering is placements and placement records of our college are average since a few students got placed in companies like Samsung R&D, HashedIn, Amazon, Paytm, etc in the past few years. While most the people can get placed with an average CTC of 2LPA to 4LPA The placements of the CS and IT departments are comparatively better than the rest of the branches. One plus point is that you will get a lot of free time in college so it's upon you how you utilize it. It's important to mention that students from our college have achieved 2-digit and 3-digit ranks in the GATE Exam including me. Drawbacks may include:- 1) poor infrastructure 2)no hostels 3)very less experienced faculty 4) pathetic labs 5) poor study env.
