Kunjali marakkar school of marine engineering is one of the prestigious institution which comes under Cochin University of science and technology , the college has a good placement for the students . Marine engineering is a special btech were you can sail all around the world and have an adventurous life .The job is risky compared to other courses , as it involves working with high pressure and temperature machines. One of the good aspect of this college is that it provides good placement for the students and bad aspects are it does provide the needful necessities for the students according to the fee structure To get admission we have to write 2 aptitude exams IMUCET and CAT Entrance , and we have to write both the entrance exams and have to apply for CAT in order to get admission here. I prepared all alone in order to crack the exam as it is a high competitive exam and have many aptitude questions to answer.

Its a govt college and under Cochin University of science and technology Fees are lower than other marine Colleges The entry to this is ny imu cet so that its little bit tough but every one can crack it and the rank is to be registered in cusat official examination site in your profile and also register for the cat exam inorder to enter here. There are morning pts which are not that much effective and classes and hostel's are well prepared.The exam focuses mainly on commons aptitude questions so everyone can crack it with your basic +2 knowledge. Placement is increasing day by day . Every seniors are placed and offer 100%placement with an average salary 60k and faculties are friendly here The cut off for our batch was 200rank Thoroughly study plus two syllabus and do some extra questions of common aptitude test

In my case I have only this option in front of me as i could not getva seat in any other engineering degree and also I was not interested in normal degrees,so I choose this course.I have received an all india seat and not a state merit because I didn't attend CUSAT CAT EXAM and only IMUCET entrance exam .To get admission in this college we need to receive ranks from both the entrance exams . The IMUCET was a objective oriented test in which aptitude testing was there along with normal entrance subjects physica , chemistry,Maths etc.

I was not a repeater, I got a seat for BDS at Kannur Medical College, but I was not interested in BDS, so my friend who joined this college recommended this college and told me about the job opportunities and salary of this job and one of my dream was to join Indian Navy but unfortunately I was not able to join. So I choose this as my career. The faculties are average...some of them are very kind and helpful but some are very harsh including the wardens, the course in charge and the director the pillar of the institute they work very hard to enhance the dignity of this institute by maintaining 100 percentage placement. Now I am in third year(fifth semester)and my senior batches got 100 percent placement in well reputed companies so I believe that I also get good placement if there is no back papers. We can join this college by appearing in the IMU CET and CAT exams according to the exam rank and reservation you are being selected by the authority.

Nah I just don’t get into a group discussion or something like that. I do attend an entrance exam called IMU CET, Conducted by International Maritime University. I got a good rank and my friend who is already doing marine engineering inspired me to take this course. The exam was not that tough compared to JEE, or other entrance exams. If you get a nice rank you can appear for their admission process and they guide you.
