My College, My Home

What I Liked

I like my friends in the college there was soo much fun to spend time with them, I'm was so excited to go to college to meet my friends and hangout, the best thing I like about my college is my friends.
The teachers are very good and friendly who taught us perfectly from down to top everything about books and other things also, they always available for us students if we have any doubts, Our college teachers are best.

What I didn’t like

The most I didn't like about the parking area distance of our college it's didn't have so much space for parking the vehicles of the students in the college . If the parking area was big then it's helps the student so much.
The most dislike thing about our canteen foods they were no healthy foods and anything for the students, they use so much oil for the food, that will make us sick, if the college decided to make good foods then student will be healthy.

Placement Experience:

No our college didn't give any placement from their side to the students, they give only marksheet after the final year exams results out, but some of the college gives opportunity to the students for placements.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes I do internship in a CA firm for 6 months it was a great experience . They give some of amount for my intership, this internship helps me alot for understanding the accounts more oftenly. It was a great experience of my life.

COLLEGE LIFE: Expectations VS Reality

What I Liked

College Garden is well maintained and beautiful.
Qualified teachers are allotted to every department. And more than 1 teacher are allotted to each subject for better understanding of the subject.

What I didn’t like

The Campus is totally affected by floods . During Rainy season, the college is submerged in flood water .
Teaching methods can be improved to encourage better teacher- student interaction.

Placement Experience:

There are minimal or no opportunities for campus placement as there is lack of exposure. Since , the no . Of students in each course is more than 500 , No Internship opportunities are provided . Hence , the question of salary package doesn't arise .

Gauhati commerce college is a very good College

What I Liked

Drinking Water facility is good and also provides fresh ,neat , clean and purifier water
Flowers gardens are there and it looks very pretty

Placement Experience:

After completion of my degree I will do mba from this college because it provides good placement opportunities for the welfare and livelihood of the student from this college many students get their placement and job opportunities

Internships Opportunities:

No I have not opted for any. Scholarship and and internship but this college provides placement opportunity internship opportunities job opportunities which will increase the employment among students

What I Liked

Maintenance and overall friendly behaviour of the students and teachers.

What I didn’t like

Lacked of feedback, unrealistic of expectations, non maintenance of sanitation , outdated curriculum.

Placement Experience:

When it comes to job placement, college player very significant role in connecting students with different potential employers ,it provides internship and training program,it also depends on how many students placed and salary. package

Internships Opportunities:

College offer many programs like CPBFI program, English learning program for the students and many more . It give placement in Insurance, finance and management company, and role are offered under this internship.

Detailed review of my experience

What I Liked

The college environmental is very friendly you can make new friends easily
The campus faculty infrastructure is very normal but if you are optimistic it can work for you

What I didn’t like

The college does not help you with any kind of problems like areas in exams or any kind of documentation problems you will have to go multiple Times around office to get your work done
The college ground and college cafeteria are bad from the first year itself I don't know when they are going to fix it up

Placement Experience:

There are no placement and internship as far as I have seen there are none. If you want to take up any internship you have to search for them yourself the college does not provide. There was only once in a college in second semester the college provided us with internship and only two student where eligible for the internship

Internships Opportunities:

I have opt for few internship . The internship I opt for help me understand on subjects and skills related to data analyst. They give a nominal St Stephen of 3000 for 14 days of work for 2 hours daily.

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure of the college very much ,it is so big and beautiful kept ..
The faculty members are also very friendly and supportive and very knowledgeable about there own subjects..

What I didn’t like

I think the food of the canteen can improve a lot yes it is good but still is can improve
During the rainy season floods occurs so often that college most if the time remain off

Placement Experience:

There is no such campus placement offers but after completion of your degree u can get upto 6-9 lakh per anum as per your results. As I m preparing alongside ca so after my completion of my degree I wil continue reading ca exam.

Internships Opportunities:

There will be lot of internship opportunities as per my knowledge and students can get the opportunities through the WhatsApp group through that the company will offer internship further I don't have such knowledge as personally I have not taken any internship..

Gauhati Commerce College (GCC)

What I Liked

The college faculty is quite good and the teachers are mostly strict and disciplined but friendly as well.
The college campus is quite large in size and also environment friendly.

What I didn’t like

The college infrastructure is well enough but can be better.
During rainy season, excessive rain leads to flood related problems in the college campus .

Placement Experience:

The placements are job opportunities are quite better compared to many other colleges in the state . The average package after B.com is around 3-5 L.P.A. While Highest Package can arise upto 8-10 L.P.A.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted for any internship yet . So I am unable to provide any information regarding this topic . Although there are many companies and firms which recruits students from our college. It is basically recommended to do masters after batchelor to get better opportunities and placements.

What I Liked

Our college have smart blackboard and AC
Or college atmosphere is very much good

What I didn’t like

Our college affected by the flood all over the ground.
Washroom are not good and drainage system is poor

Placement Experience:

Our college as such don't have more placement opportunities and average package starts from 100000 and many students of our college get this opportunity and they are posted abraod also with large amount of package.

Internships Opportunities:

After completing my degree course I will look after the internship provided by the government And. Wi look after the internship where pratical knowledge are given from where I will also get experience and certificate which wi be beneficial for me in building my career

So this is the honest review I have shared from my 2.5 years and continuing journey

What I Liked

The college campus is very big. Student can form a huge group and can roam into the whole campus and wouldn’t feel bore as the campus is big in terms of area and it covers lot of greenery.
There is no strict attendance criteria for this college. Many colleges have a strict attendance criteria like students have to maintain a 75 percentage attendance rule but in this college students don’t have to follow such criteria.

What I didn’t like

The professors or teachers of this college are very dangerous, disrespectful towards their students, not all of them, but few are very egoistic.
Some of the classrooms in college does not have proper air conditioning equipment. So during summers, it’s really painful and really uncomfortable to attend the classes without any air conditioning.

Placement Experience:

Guwahati commerce College does not provide any campus placement After finishing the degree, Most of the students try for competitive exams like chartered accountant or entrance, exam of MBA , entrance exam for banking entrance, exam for civil services, etc.

Internships Opportunities:

I have opted online internship opportunities which I have got from LinkedIn, but this opportunities I haven’t received from the college as this college does not provide any kind of internship opportunities to the students

Glimpse of Symphony

What I Liked

Students union who respect and protect each of the students rights. They are fully active.
Ex principal Dr Homeswar Kalita Sir one of best principal who was very helpful and kind.

What I didn’t like

Our College field is not in a good condition, trucks and excavators are working and mining which damage the field and overall experience.
Another thing is teachers are moody, they want us to be perfectionist. In this world no one is perfect.

Placement Experience:

After completing the course, we are eligible to give entrance exams and other organizations who want to hire us. I'll select Chartered Accountant course after graduation and it is my dream to become a Chartered Accountant.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I won't opted any internship. Various companies campaigns in the college but only one or two companies are there who is genuine and pays the student that's why we are waiting for better opportunity who hels to builds us.
