This college is an autonomous college, so the Study in this college is more affectly, we don't need any other tuition for this course. To take addmission in our college, you have to give an admission test based on your 12th STD question.

There will be an admission test to get into this college. After admission test within 2 weeks the merit list comes out and then they will call for admission. The physical verification and the documents verification will be done and they will tell when and how to join the college. There are some minimal criteria to write the admission test. Like my department, statistics, has a minimum criteria of getting 80% in mathematics at higher secondary examination and 75% total in HS examination. For admission test I just prepared JEE MAINS level mathematics and I got selected.The college administration is mostly run by the Maharaj(s) who are recruited from Belur Math and rules and regulations are a bit strict. There is a prayer factor over there, you have to go to the prayer at 6:10 am and 6:00 pm everyday. There are strict rules and regulations regarding the usage of phones in the 1st year of study.But academics of this college is very good. Teachers are very much friendly and will guide you.

Written admission test conduct here for every subject . Someone have to obtain 60 percent marks to give exam in arts group and 75 percent marks to give science subjects . Cut off varies for every subject . This year stat honour's cut off goes to 27 out of 50 . No interview done here.

There was a viva to get selected for this college but exam or viva may depend upon every department. Cut off will be vary every year. You will able to get a good environment for study in this college. Must attendance in every class. But hostel Life is not so good.

I chose this college since I took up the statistics subject as the one to study further and saw that this college was next to ISI. I had to appear for a written admission test which was relatively tougher and based on 11th and 12th maths.

The college is a very good and 19th best ranked college in India. I had a mind set to study in Statistics Honours and for that this was one of the best option. Also the admission process is very smooth. An admission test is taken in offline mode on the college and from that 15 students are selected in our department.
