There will be an admission test to get into this college. After admission test within 2 weeks the merit list comes out and then they will call for admission. The physical verification and the documents verification will be done and they will tell when and how to join the college. There are some minimal criteria to write the admission test. Like my department, statistics, has a minimum criteria of getting 80% in mathematics at higher secondary examination and 75% total in HS examination. For admission test I just prepared JEE MAINS level mathematics and I got selected. The college administration is mostly run by the Maharaj(s) who are recruited from Belur Math and rules and regulations are a bit strict. There is a prayer factor over there, you have to go to the prayer at 6:10 am and 6:00 pm everyday. There are strict rules and regulations regarding the usage of phones in the 1st year of study. But academics of this college is very good. Teachers are very much friendly and will guide you.
Firstly I have enthusiasm in statistical fields.I also applied for ISI KOLKATA but didn't get selected and RKMRC is the 2nd best college on Kolkata after ISI to study Statistics especially. All the faculties have atleast Master's Degree in their field. There are total 5 full time teachers among which 2 of them have PhD degrees but those who don't have PhDs they are also awesome. Their teaching methodologies are great! Every teachers of my department are too much friendly and helpful. There are 2 term exams in the college viz mid sem and end sem. On odd semester the mid sem happens during mid September and the end sem in mid December. On even sem the mid sem happens during mid of March and the End sem in the mid of May. Difficulty is not that hard. It's an autonomous college. So most of the questions that are asked in the examination are discussed or the concepts are discussed in the classes
No I'm currently at the first year of my studies. So I haven't got any opportunity to have an internship. I have done a SWAYAM NPTEL course in the first semester. But after 3rd semester you have to go for internship. You can find it on your own or the college will send you there
There are no such placement opportunities in the UG level. But there are some internship opportunities. You can find them on your own. Also college will send you too for internships. My plan is to do master's after I get the degree. Our department has a preety much good reputation in all India level JAM and ISI exams, every year top rankers come out in these exams from our college. Like in the previous year the ISI MSTAT AIR 1 Sayak Panja was from our college.
I'm currently in first year of my UG course in this college, monthly fees is ?4500, this is a residential set-up so including hostel and college charges it it's ?4500 monthly which makes an annual total of ?54,000, there are some available institute scholarships but you have to be meritorious to get that! For admission test they take ?500, after the admission test if you get selected then you'll have to pay some admission fees varying from ?23,000-?27,000 depending upon your department. In my case I had to pay 24,500 at the time of admission, this can also be paid in installment system with 0% interest. The scholarships that mostly students take is SVMCM or The INSPIRE and many other private scholarships!
Honestly speaking the campus life is not that much fun over here atleast for me. Those who are very religious might get interest. Mostly you have to focus on your studies to cope up in the college. There is no such college fest but there are some tech fests which is conducted department wise. Most of the tech fests happen in April. Some fests also take place in September October too. This totally depends on the departments. The library of this college is too good. There are many books over there and journals also. Classrooms are spacious with tables and benches with Projectors in 2 classrooms out of 3. Sports facilities are great over there. There is a big play ground and college provided sports accessories. There are some sports cultural activities etccl. Clubs also
This is a residential set-up. So you have to compulsorily stay in the hostel if you want to study there. The food quality is below average there like many other hostels. There are 4 meals. One at 7 am, 2ndly at 9:30 am, then at 4:00 pm and lastly at 9:00 pm. The menu includes mostly daal, bhaat, some kind of torkari, fish, at Friday we used to get chicken, at the 7 am meal we get cha and biscuits or cake. At the 4 pm meal it's mostly luchi, porota, with some torkari along with liquor chaa. Also we get chowmin, chola mixture etc.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
