Truth of SMCW

What I Liked

infrastructure and faculty.The serene campus will make you fall in love with it.
The faculty is very hardworking. Sometimes it gets annoying but it is actually what keeps us going and pushes us to do out best.
Campus life is cool.Again the campus is to die for.During monsoon it feels nothing less than a hill station.So if you are a nature person it is for you.Only hard part it is 10km from city so for basically every chore you’ll have to travel a lot

What I didn’t like

the distance of the campua from the city.i will pick city life over nature anyday.It’s really tiring to travel back and forth for everything and not so easy on students pockets
The mess food.Sometimes they make authentic marathi food but most students are from north so it doesn’t suit out palate.The hygiene isn’t that well maintained.Water gets really nasty at times.not worth the money they are charging us

Placement Experience:

it’s a new college established in 2020.The first batch is yet to pass so we aren’t really sure about the stipend.The job procedure is same as all the doctors throughout india.Most people opt for pg or else you can always work as mo

Internships Opportunities:

My internship hasn’t started yet.but as per the rule the internship will be for 1 year.in which we are supposed to work 2 primary health centres 1 month each.for next 10 months i am not so sure most probably at the symbiosis hospital itself

Symbiosis medical College review 2025

What I Liked

What I like most is the faculty here as they are very helping and knowledgable
The campus spans acres and is full of greenery and great infrastructure

What I didn’t like

Mess food sometimes becomes inedible but there is a mess commitee to manage that
The accessibility to main city is restricted as public transport is difficult to get here

Placement Experience:

Currently our first batch hasn't passed out yet they are still in there final year of MBBS However after MBBS there are several opportunities like working as an MBBS medical officer or writing NEET pg exam

Internships Opportunities:

The first batch of 2020 is yet to start their internship in 2025 and then we will get to know about internship from our seniors So af of now there is only this much information that after final year there will be a period of one year for internship.

SMCW acc to a 3rd yr medical student

What I Liked

I like the weather , infrastructure and my social life .
I hav egreat friends here to help me through thick and thins .

What I didn’t like

I hate to pay extra for transportation. Transportation here is a great problem not bcz of availability but bcz it is too costly .
Also i am not a great fan of the food here . They don't have a good chaat corner here .

Placement Experience:

Doctors need no placement. You build your CV apply there go through interview and yayy congratulations you are selected. Job opportunities are available in various streams/sections . After Mbbs most of us will pursue our PGs .We will appear for NEET PG or NEXT . Then some of us might end up doing superspecialization or fellowship as well .

Internships Opportunities:

In campus Internship is mandatory as per the Curriculum. U can not opt for externship . As of now none of the batch is undergoing internship so i even idk about the stipend. You can aaply to any college of ur choice for job .You can also setup a private clinic at some rural area .

Mbbs: the professional degree

What I Liked

The faculty is very supportive and caring.
The mess food is pretty good in taste and quality.

What I didn’t like

The main city is a bit far away from the campus.
Single seater rooms are not yet available here.

Placement Experience:

Mbbs offers good job opportunities in the future. An MD on top is cherry on the cake. The more the qualification the better options you get at the time of placements. It's upto you if u want to explore the corporate side of it or open up your own practice.

Internships Opportunities:

After a 4 and a half years of mbbs, there's a 1 year internship . It's mandatory for all students in this field. The graduates are then made to work at root level with senior residents and surgeons and they are taught upon how to interact with the patients.

All about symbiosis medical College for women

What I Liked

Ambience,crowd,safe place to stay, climate
Good academic orientation,first hand experience

What I didn’t like

Management issues where decisions and requests take a lot of time for response
Do not really listen to students something in respect to bare minimum holidays

Placement Experience:

Internship is compulsory at the college itself. They patient inflow is decent so getting experience as first hand will be probably good too.they have decent duty rooms and facilities available for on-duty doctors

Internships Opportunities:

Internship at symbiosis medical College for women itself for a year in which we get posting in every department be it clinical non clinical for first hand experience as doctors with a play if 10000per month

My College prons and cons

What I Liked

I liked the beautiful campus It is totally mesmerizing And the faculty is also good
The campus life is busy but comfortable too As mbbs is tough but the college life is also that enjoyable

What I didn’t like

There is no cons as such of the college The college is overall good
The only thing I dislikes is the compulsion for hostel

Placement Experience:

The college is new so there is no passed out batch till date But as of now they will have good placement opportunities And also might get PG seats in future The college has a free hospital so there is a heavy flow of patients throughout the day So more clinical exposure is experienced

SMCW: Destination to become a healthcare professional

What I Liked

The college faculty is something we look forward to every time. They are just like our parents and they keep guiding us in every step we take in our journey.
The college infrastructure is just glamorous. With all red brick throughout our campus, it definitely feels heavenly and is piece of calmness.

What I didn’t like

The quality of mess food almost everyone in every college complains of. Mess food can never be like home cooked food. Still, mess food is edible.
The connectivity of college to main city is a hassle. Everything is available on campus and all kinds of deliveries from amazon to big basket can be made but travelling to main city for any kind of work is a hassle.

Placement Experience:

After completion of 5.5 years of MBBS, our college provides placements as a junior resident in various colleges across India. The average package for a Junior Resident is about 30,000 Rs. per month. However, most of the students don't take any placement to prepare for postgraduation as in medical field specialization and super specialization defines your skills.

Internships Opportunities:

After 4.5 years of MBBS, 1 year of internship is compulsory in the hospital owned by the college. In our case, it is Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre. The hospital is well-furnished with wards, IPD, OPD, and operation theatres. Internships in hospitals is surely of great importance as we get to practice real-world medical cases.

Life at Symbiosis Medical College for Women

What I Liked

Infrastructure is the best. Lush green gardens and a mandir close by.
Campus life is good considering we have a top class sports complex. Also we have many universities in the same complex- ensuring socialising with different branches.

What I didn’t like

College is a bit strict. We have to maintain discipline like school. We even have uniform which we have to wear twice a week
The campus is located in the outskirts making it difficult for us to travel to the city. Ola and Uber frequently doesn’t accept cabs in our areas.

Placement Experience:

After 4.4 years of MBBS, we have to work as interns in the associated hospital (SUHRC) for a year. Placements are not applicable for MBBS. After this mainly students prepare for NEET-PG, PLAB, USMLE, etc.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are offered and compulsory in the hospital associated with our college, Symbiosis University Health and Research Centre. I really do t know about this because we don’t have interns yet.
