The AILET 2027 BA LLB syllabus has three sections: English Language, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. NLU Delhi gives the section names and question totals, but it does not publish a fixed chapter list.

AILET English Language Syllabus

The section checks reading, meaning and language use through passages and related questions. Useful areas include the main idea, inference, tone, word meaning in context, grammar and how one sentence supports another. The paper decides the exact mix.

In the 2026 paper, one passage discussed predictive policing and facial recognition. Another dealt with social-media algorithms and digital literacy. This shows why reading the argument matters more than memorising a list of grammar terms.

AILET Current Affairs and General Knowledge Syllabus

The official pattern combines current affairs and general knowledge in one section. The 2026 paper covered public policy, science and health, international affairs, sports, government programmes and important people and events.

Questions included an Indian antibiotic, a gene-therapy trial, the International Court of Justice, Operation Sindoor and Wimbledon. The range changes every year, so one month or one subject cannot cover the whole section.

AILET Logical Reasoning Syllabus

The section checks whether a candidate can follow an argument, find an assumption, draw a conclusion and test whether new information strengthens or weakens a statement. The 2026 paper also had analogies, series, syllogisms and principle-based questions.

Legal principles may appear as the information needed to solve a question. NLU Delhi clearly says that legal knowledge or technical legal study is not required for BA LLB.

How to Use the AILET Syllabus

The section totals should decide how practice time is divided. Logical Reasoning deserves the largest share, but English still carries one-third of the paper. Current Affairs needs regular revision because its questions draw from many subjects and recent events.
