The AILET 2027 cutoff is not out. NLU Delhi will publish the result and course-wise merit or counselling lists after the exam. The last rank admitted in a category becomes its closing rank for that list or round.

A cutoff mark and a closing rank are not the same. The score is the candidate's marks after negative marking. The rank shows the candidate's position among test-takers.

AILET 2027 Cutoff Status

Any number published before the result is an estimate, not the official 2027 cutoff. NLU Delhi may issue more than one list, so the closing rank can move when seats remain vacant.

AILET Score and Closing Rank

The score uses one mark for a correct answer and minus 0.25 for a wrong answer. NLU Delhi then places candidates in the course merit list. The closing rank is the rank of the last candidate admitted in a category at that stage of counselling.

What Changes the AILET Cutoff?

• Number of candidates who take the course paper
• Scores in that year's paper
• Seats in the course and category
• Reservation and horizontal reservation
• Candidates who register for counselling and complete admission
• Seat movement in later lists

The seat matrix matters because BA LLB has 120 total seats and LLM has 81. Foreign National and OCI/PIO seats follow separate rules and do not work like the AILET merit seats.

Tie-Breaking Rules

For BA LLB, higher Logical Reasoning marks decide the first tie. If the tie remains, the older candidate is placed higher, followed by a draw of lots. For LLM, age is checked first and a draw of lots is used if needed. These rules can place two candidates with the same total score at different ranks.

Where to Check the AILET Cutoff

The reliable record is the result, merit list and counselling list published by NLU Delhi. Read the course, category and list number before comparing a rank. A BA LLB list cannot be used for LLM, and an early list cannot be treated as the final closing rank.
