IBSAT Exam Pattern 2026: Check Paper Pattern & Marking Scheme

IBSAT Exam Pattern 2026 is prescribed by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), the conducting body of the examination. IBSAT 2026 will be conducted in remote-proctored online mode for admission to the MBA/PGPM 2027-29 programmes offered across the nine IBS campuses.
The IBSAT 2026 question paper will contain 140 multiple-choice questions to be attempted in 120 minutes. The paper is divided into four sections—Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Interpretation.
Candidates can also appear for the IBSAT National Mock Test (NMT) to understand the exam interface, question structure and time management in a simulated environment. IBS has announced six National Mock Test dates in 2026: July 25, August 22, September 26, October 24, November 21 and December 9.
What Is IBSAT Exam Pattern?
IBSAT 2026 is a two-hour remote-proctored computer-based test consisting of multiple-choice questions. The exam assesses candidates in four areas: Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Interpretation.
Candidates shortlisted through IBSAT 2026 or an accepted CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC™ or GMAT™ score will be considered for the IBS selection process. The current selection process consists of a Micro Presentation and Personal Interview; Group Discussion is not part of the current selection format.
