JAC Chandigarh 2025 Counselling Process

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Counselling process comprises the steps listed below:

Step 1: Online Counselling Registration and Fee Payment

Candidates need to follow the instructions stated below:

• Eligible candidates are required to fill out an online registration form at the official website - jacchd.admissions.nic.in and pay the registration fee.
• Candidates must provide the following information:
  • JEE Main 2025 Application Number
  • Candidate’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Date of Birth
• After successful authentication, the candidate must generate their login credentials - JEE Main Application No. as the login ID, and create a password 
• Provide your Email ID and Mobile number for further communication.
• If a candidate forgets their password, the additional information they provided at registration will be used to create a new password for them. Therefore, each applicant must fill out the additional information fields at the time of registration.
• A candidate applying for both Engineering and Architecture must register separately for the two courses.

Step 2: Document Verification

All registered candidates of General and reserved categories who want to avail the benefit of any one or more of the below-mentioned categories should upload their category certificates for online verification before the last date of registration.

• Cargill Martyrs (KA)
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
• Rural area (RA)
• Border area (BA)
• Defense (17-40)
• Sports (SP)

Step 3: Online Choice Filling

All registered candidates are required to submit their choices of JAC Chandigarh participating Institute and Branch in order of their preference.

• Candidates may select as many choices from the list of available options in the order of their preferences.
• Candidates may, at any point up until they lock their final set of choices, edit or reorder their choices, remove earlier choices, and add new choices.
• If candidates are qualified for both the engineering and architecture streams, they must submit a single set of combined options.

Step 4: Mock Counseling

Mock Counselling or indicative seat availability assist candidates in finalizing their most appropriate choice of seats. The system offers a general estimate of the seat that may be granted based on the number of registered candidates who have submitted their choices at any given moment. However, the actual seat allocation in the allotment rounds may differ from the estimated seat availability.

Step 5: Choice Locking

Once they have finalized their choices, candidates must lock their choices before the given deadline.

• After the lock button is clicked, you have to re-enter your password to verify the locking.
• If a candidate fails to lock their final choices within the specified date, the most recent saved choices will be automatically locked after the deadline.
• The locked choices cannot be changed or modified.
• Candidates can log in to view their locked choices. 
• Registered candidates who do not exercise any choices in any of the rounds will not be taken into consideration for seat allotment. However, they can sit for the Spot round of counselling after paying a participation fee of INR 40,000/-

Step 6: Seat Allotment

During the JAC Chandigarh 2025 seat allotment process, the choices submitted by the candidates will be processed centrally and seats will be allotted. The allotment result will be published on the website and also communicated through SMS to successful candidates on the registered mobile number. Follow the below-mentioned steps to check the allotment list:

• Visit the official website- https://jacchd.admissions.nic.in/ 
• Click on the ‘First Special Round Seat Allotment of B.Tech and B.Arch Admissions’ link.
• Login with your JEE Main roll number and password.
• Check your seat allotment result.

Step 7: Physical Reporting at the Allotted Institute

All the candidates who have paid the admission fee after seat allotment in any round of Counselling will have to physically report to the final Allotted Institute as per the Counseling Schedule. 

• The physical reporting status of all applicants will be updated online by all JAC Chandigarh 2025 participating institutes. 
• For the last Spot Round of Counselling, the exact number of reported candidates and vacant seats will be provided.
• Vacancy for Spot Round of Counseling will be published on the website prior to the choice filling for Spot Round.

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Spot Round Counseling

JAC Chandigarh 2025 Spot Round Counselling is conducted online. For participating in the spot round counselling, candidates must pay INR 40,000/- as a participation fee before their seat allotment. 

• The participation fee won't be refunded if a seat is allotted. 
• In case, a seat is not allotted, the participation fee will be fully refunded.
• All registered candidates who have paid the registration fee, regardless of whether a seat has been allotted or not up to the third round of counselling, can participate in the spot round counselling. These candidates do not have to register again for the spot counselling round.
