In this section of PTE reading and writing fill in the blanks, the reading skills of the candidates will be evaluated. The test-takers will be presented with a reading text prompt of up to 300 words. The passage will be with some missing keywords, represented by blank text boxes. You have to click on the blank text box, and after that, a drop-down menu will appear with a list of options. For the Multiple choice-choose multiple options, candidates are required to select all the possible correct answers from the list of options. In this PTE section, sentences are placed in random order. Candidates are supposed to sequence the sentences logically, using the “dragging and dropping” option item, or using the arrow buttons on the screen. Candidates will earn 1 point for placing every pair of correct sentences, and full marks for arranging the whole paragraph in the correct order.
