PTE band score chart is a comprehensive evaluation of a candidate’s abilities in grammar, oral fluency, pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary, writing, and communication. The PTE chart score is based on a scoring methodology that awards candidates two different types of credits in relation to their responses:

  • Accurate/incorrect: Exam taker receives one point for each accurate response. There is no negative marking for wrong responses.
  • Partial credit: Points will be deducted for incorrect answers in PTE from the points earned for the correct responses.
