PTE Writing Test Format

The Writing and Speaking sections of the PTE exam pattern contain 7-10 different questions. These are:

PTE Writing Summarize Written Text

You can enroll in PTE online coaching where you will learn all the question types for the test -

• Candidate will be given a paragraph, and candidate must write candidate's own summary of for PTE summarize written text
• Finish the summary in more than 75 words and one phrase.
• Candidates have ten minutes to read, summarize, and edit the text.
• A perfect score is possible if the candidate has excellent vocabulary and grammar.
• Be careful of the punctuation.
• Capitalize each sentence's first word and any nouns.
• Avoid using the first person pronouns I, Me, We, etc. when writing the summary.
• Each paragraph should be summarized in a single sentence.

To easily solve the writing section, you can avail many PTE preparation apps that will cover all the necessary materials.

• Plan a candidate's essay's structure based on its type, such as an opinion essay, a problem-solution essay, an advantages-disadvantages essay, etc.
• After writing, check the candidate's spelling, punctuation, and plurals.
• Use the proper essay format, which includes an introduction in the first paragraph, a body of two to three paragraphs, and a conclusion in the final paragraph.
• Give examples, explanations, and figures in the body paragraphs to support the candidate's claims.
• Aim for a word count of 200–300.
• To compose an essay on the assigned subject, candidates have 20 minutes.

Reading and Writing: Fill in the Blanks

• In PTE academic, the writing skills along with the PTE reading section is also tested. 
• Candidates are given a passage with fill in the blanks with suitable options. 
• 5-6 questions included in this question type.
• The word count is upto 300.
• There is no specified time duration for this section.

PTE Writing Essay Format

Candidates must write an argumentative essay of 200–300 words in response to a question for the PTE writing essay. You must know that PTE speaking and writing is an integrated test. Candidates have 20 minutes to write a candidate's essays, and the prompt will be two to three sentences long. The candidate's word count is displayed in the Word Count section at the bottom of the screen. Write 200 words or less, but no more than 300 words, according to PTE test instructions. The cut, copy, and paste buttons that the candidate can use to build the candidate's response are likewise provided to the candidates.

• Cut: Click the "Cut" button after choosing the text in the candidate's response that the candidate wants to eliminate.
• Copy: Choose the text the candidate wants to copy from the candidate's response, then click "Copy" on the left.
• Paste: Place the cursor where the candidate wants to paste the text that was copied or cut, then click "Paste" on the left.

PTE Writing Essay Score

The PTE Writing Essay is graded by determining all aspects of the content. The following aspects of the writing summary PTE scores are taken into account when assigning grades.
