XAT 2026 exam analysis will be out after the exam is over. This year, XAT 2026 will be conducted on January 4, 2026. 

• Part 1 of XAT 2026, which includes Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability, and Data Interpretation, must be completed in 175 minutes.
• Part 2 of XAT 2026 consists of 5 minutes of Mock Keyboard Testing.
• Part 3 of XAT 2026  consists of General Knowledge and Essay Writing tests, both of which will be completed in 30 minutes. The essay will evaluated only if you qualify for the PI round. 

According to the initial review, the overall difficulty level of XAT 2024 was moderate to difficult. The VALR questions were comparatively difficult and lengthy, especially the RC passages were challenging. The portions on Decision Making were comparatively easier but lengthy. The difficulty level of the QADI section was difficult and time-consuming, and data interpretation was challenging. The GK section was moderately difficult. If you answer around 45 to 50 questions correctly, you clear a high XAT cutoff. 

According to the XAT marking scheme, you will score one mark for each correct answer, while -0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. If you skip 8 questions in a row, you will lose 0.10 marks for every unanswered question after that. 

XAT 2023 Overall Exam Analysis

XAT 2023 Exam Analysis Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning

• The XAT 2023 Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning section contained 26 questions.
• The section's overall difficulty level was easy, but the 12 RC questions were moderately difficult.
• There was only one simple poem this year.
• The remaining 12 questions ranged from Grammar to Parajumbles to Critical Reasoning.

XAT 2023 Exam Analysis Decision-Making

The XAT 2023 Decision-Making portion contained 22 questions.

• The questions were easy, with the exception of one set that was modelled like previous Data Interpretation-type decision-making questions.

XAT 2023 Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation

The Data Interpretation section of the QA & DI included only two sets of three questions each. Both DI sets were difficult.

• One set of the DI was mainly calculation-based, whereas the other set included graphs. Last year, there were four DI sets.
• The Quant part featured 22 questions that were all achievable.

XAT 2022 Exam Analysis

The XAT 2022 exam was held on January 2, 2022, in a single shift from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Candidates should review the XAT exam analysis provided below. Check out the section-by-section analysis, difficulty level, high score, and so forth.

The question paper was deemed to be one of the most challenging in the history of the XAT exam last year.

• The paper was moderate to very difficult. VALR and DM were not difficult exams with numerous difficult questions.
• QADI is said to be the most difficult, with several lengthy questions. This part was also found to be more DI-oriented by several students.
• GK was the most difficult. The questions covered geography, politics, science and technology, and current events.
• In addition, in the Essay Writing portion, candidates might choose one of two question options. The essay writing component was allotted only 10 minutes. The two essay subjects were:
• B-schools select candidates with great academic records for entrance, but they make average managers.
• Capitalism and democracy have opposing logic.

XAT 2021 Exam Analysis

The highlights of the XAT 2021 exam are as follows:

• The question on Essay Writing was removed. The descriptive essay writing question has been deleted from this year's XAT. Previously, students had to answer one essay question in the exam.
• Negative Marking for Unanswered Questions: Candidates are only permitted to leave 8 questions unanswered in the exam. Any questions left unanswered after 8 are penalized with -0.10 marks per question.
• NAT Questions: NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions will be included in the XAT 2021 question paper.
• There is no negative marking for General Knowledge questions, and the marks earned in that section are not factored into the percentile calculation.
• According to reports, the XAT 2021 difficulty level is higher than last year.
• The exam had three DI sets this year. There were two DI sets in the prior year's tests.

• Part A of the XAT 2021 consists of 75 questions, whereas Part B consists of 25 questions. XAT 2021 sectional question count and difficulty level are listed below.

XAT 2020 Exam Analysis

Based on the participants' feedback, the XAT this year was somewhat tough in comparison to previous years. The majority of candidates regarded the XAT 2020 Decision Making and Quantitative sections to be difficult and unclear. Given the general difficulty of the exam, the XAT 2020 cutoff may remain low this year as well.

• XAT 2020 was held on a single day and in a single session in MCQ format.
• XAT 2020 question paper was divided into two sections: Part A and Part B.
• Part A included three sections: Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI), while Part-B simply had a General Knowledge section.
• The overall difficulty level of the question paper was difficult/high based on previous year trends.
• XLRI has also made significant changes to the XAT 2020 exam format beginning this year, including the inclusion of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, an increased penalty for unattempted questions, extra time for visually challenged applicants, and so on.
