XAT Scorecard 2026

XLRI releases the XAT 2026 results in the form of a scorecard. You will be offered admission to different colleges depending on your performance in the XAT 2026. Some details mentioned on XAT 2026 scorecard are:

  • Candidate Name
  • Date and venue of exam
  • Candidate’s Date of Birth
  • Registered ID
  • Validity of XAT score
  • Date of release of results
  • A sectional score of candidates
  • Percentile of candidate

The total percentile of the XAT exam is calculated based on three sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Decision-Making. The score of General Knowledge is not considered for the calculation of percentile but is used in the PI round only. Hence, the XAT merit list will not depend on the General Knowledge score.

How to Calculate XAT Score?

XAT 2026 scores are calculated based on the Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Decision-Making sections. The scores for GK will be calculated separately. The total number of questions asked in the XAT 2026 exam is 100.

XAT marking scheme 2026 is tabulated below:

Questions Marks obtained
Correctly Attempted +1 for each correct answer
Wrongly Answered -0.25 for the wrong answer
Unattempted questions -0.1 for unattempted questions

How to Calculate the XAT percentile?

XAT score is calculated based on scores in the Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Decision-Making sections. XAT Merit List 2026 is made based on total scores in all these sections. The formula to calculate percentile is:

XAT Percentile= {(N – Rank of the Candidate)/ N}*100

Here, N is the total number of applicants

It's also necessary to know about the tie-breaking criteria while calculating the score for a competitive exam. Suppose two candidates have secured the same rank, then the following rules will be considered:

  • Marks in graduation will be taken into consideration to get priority
  • Higher marking candidates will be chosen
  • Age will be taken into consideration as the older one will be given more priority

XAT Score VS Percentile

You must understand the equivalence of the XAT score and XAT percentile to understand your XAT result better. Following the previous year’s trends, here is the XAT score vs percentile analysis:

Percentile Aggregate Marks secured
99.75 51.26
99.27 47.12
98.89 45.62
