In a landmark initiative, the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) has joined forces with H4XLabs to forge a robust bridge between the defense ecosystems of India and the United States.

This partnership seamlessly amalgamates the prowess of academic excellence from IIT Hyderabad with the cutting-edge industry expertise of H4XLabs. The central objective of this collaboration is to fortify defense startups, enabling them to expand their reach and effectively navigate the intricate US defense markets.

The collaboration promises to offer tailor-made go-to-market strategies, while also facilitating access to crucial investors and prominent figures within the defence sector. At the heart of this endeavor lies INDUS-X (India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem), a collaborative brainchild of Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX), the Ministry of Defence, and the US Department of Defence (DoD).

The inaugural phase of the INDO-US CrossLinX accelerator program, orchestrated by iTIC and H4X, featured a dynamic workshop. During this event, participating startups showcased their groundbreaking products as part of the Demo Day in India. The program launch was accompanied by a comprehensive series of sessions delivered by experts encompassing diverse domains within the US defense landscape.

The event welcomed a diverse array of defense startups and MSMEs, all of which actively engaged in the proceedings. Once these startups are primed and ready, they will embark on a transformative journey to the US for a duration of 7-10 days. During this period, they will engage with pivotal government officials, influential defense contractors, and other stakeholders.

In his message, Prof B S Murty, the Director of IITH, extended his heartfelt best wishes for the accelerator's success. He expressed his confidence in the flourishing strategic cooperation between India and the US, citing initiatives like iCET and INDUS-X. Prof. Murty assured unwavering support from IITH towards such pivotal initiatives.

According to Prof Suryakumar S, the Dean of ITS at IITH, the Joint Accelerator Program stands as a testament to the collaborative ethos of INDUS-X. He expressed optimism that this program would serve as a catalyst propelling Indian startups onto the global stage.
