Eligibility Criteria For MTech Admission

The eligibility criteria are mentioned below for NIT, College Students and IIT Students:-

  • NIT students: Final-year BTech with CPI/CGPA ≥ 8.0 (General/EWS/OBC) or ≥ 7.5 (SC/ST/PwD) by the end of 3rd year.
  • NIT students: Top 5 rank holders (General/EWS/OBC) or top 10 rank holders (SC/ST/PwD) at the end of the pre-final year.
  • Select college students: Final-year BTech students rank in the top 5 (General/EWS/OBC) or top 10 (SC/ST/PwD) in the department at the end of the pre-final year.
  • IIT students: Final-year BTech with CPI/CGPA ≥ 6.0 by the end of 3rd year.

Admission Procedure At IIT Gandhinagar

The admission process involves a comprehensive evaluation of candidates:-

  • Interview and Written Test: Candidates are required to appear for a personal interview, and in some cases, a written test may also be conducted to assess their knowledge and skills.
  • Final Selection: The final selection is based on a holistic evaluation of candidates' academic performance, test scores (if applicable), and interview performance.

IIT Gandhinagar provides relaxation in cutoff marks for reserved category candidates, as per government norms, to ensure a fair and inclusive admission process.
