I got into IIT for my master by qualifying IIT JAM exam and according to the rank counselling take place and provide you particular college that comes under the cutoff. During my time the cutoff was between 6400-5320 for the ST category and another way to get into IITGn is by early admit process by recommendation from your bachelor university professor and clearing the interview.

IIT Gandhinagar is one of the best and most prestigious colleges in India. I am an early admit MTech student. This is a special way that IIT Gandhinagar takes students for the eligibility. You have to be a part of IIT/NIT/government-funded college and have a good CPI. On this basis, you are shortlisted, and you have to give the interview for this, and after passing the interview, you get selected. It facilitated the best education by the best educator, and most of the professors have done their master's and PhD from the foreign university. Food quality is also so good here.

IIT Gandhinagar encourages freedom among its students freedom to choose your courses, inter-hostel mobility and free to go out of the campus at any time of the day this has been a choosing factor for me. For admissions, you must secure a decent rank in IIT-JEE advanced to get your desired course. Courses are selected on the basis of your rank through JOSAA counselling and you also have to submit around 35000 rupees when your branch is allocated.

For addmission in IIT gandhinagar I had passed the exam JEE mains and JEE advance. The addmission process is that you have to fill your choice of college on joosa counciling portal. After that you will be allotted a seat in the college that you had filled at time of choice filling according to your rank and category.

I applied for admission to IITGN for MSc in mathematics I gave the IIT JAM exam and after clearing it I had to make a list of the colleges(IITs) where I wanted to study. In the JAM exam, i got an AIR of 527. With this rank I could not get into top older iits. At IIT Gn there are visiting faculties members who are professor at IIT Bombay and foreign universities. Most of the professor here have done their phd's from foreign colleges. And they have good research career. And the faculty in algebra is highly expert and I also have interest in algebra, which is why I choose this college.

I was very interested in computer science and had decided to take CSE and based on my JEE Advanced rank I got IIT Gandhinagar as the best offer. There are many good things about the college, some of which include good culture, research focussed, good placements and internships, etc. Talking about the admission process it is allotted via josaa counseling based on JEE Advanced rank.

IIT Gandhinagar has modern infrastructure which includes an international standard sports complex. It also provides an interdisciplinary approach to students and has good placement records. These are factors which made me choose this college. For admission as in undergraduate students should clear Jee Advanced (computer-based test) with a good rank. The cutoff of general rank is 1576 for CSE recently. For SC category 412. jee advance is difficult in level but we can crack it with proper practice and hard work .it has a low alumni network as it was established in 2008.

The decision was mainly due to my JEE Advance rank that made me choose this college also here the sports complex was very big which you can't see in any other IIT. If you are a true sportsperson and willing to prepare for Inter-IIT this is the best option. For me, the best thing was the AC in every hostel room which makes it cool even in summer and also no in-out restrictions for boys and girls in the hostel. Also, the campus was very green. The bad aspect was the campus is nearly 4 to 5 km far from the city so even the cab drivers will demand an huge amount. I have prepared from Class 9th and went to IIT coaching in Sri Chaitanya. This made me crack IIT.

The decision was mainly according to my jee rank, and I wanted a college with newer hostels and a fresher campus as other IITs have bad hostel infrastructure, and I felt IIT Gandhinagar had the best hostels.
