About 60% of the total strengh gets placements from campus. The placement cell is very active which provide prior practise session and counsellng. It goes in two phase each semester. The placement for BTech are more as compared to the rest total department students. The highes as I know among my circle is 50 lakh per month in EdgeTech in Japan that recruited 5 student from the campus.

The placements are so good as per the colleges this college is also one of the top colleges having more internships and placement and this is a college where did is river irrelevant of discipline there will be jobs taken on their skills no matter what they are came from its matter what of both their skills and a job was opportunities are so good and but having a minimum CPI

Placement startss from the months of August and goes up to May of the next year, and majorly students get placed from the range of 3.5 lakh to 65 lakh. And some students opt for further studies, exam preparation (UPSC, GATE, CAT, IES, and many more), and some open their businesses.

Our senior told us that change your branch to cs otherwise it will be really hard for you to get job. There are low ratio of placements not for cs, so what should we expect from them. They explained us in the beginning like there are lots of job opportunities but seniors told us truth. They suggested us to us linkedin like platform to find jobs or someone you know.

Placement at IIT GN is good for the CSE department as most of the companies are software-based. Companies like Graviton, Zomato, Google, InMobi have visited the campus for SDE, Qunat and product management roles. Google have selected 3 student in the 2024-25 placement year while Graviton only took 2 student with 48 LPA CTC. Students in their last second semesters are generally eligible for placements. Placement starts around mid October after the mid sem exams. Highest package was offered by Zomato which was 52 LPA.

From our senior batch 6 to 7 students out of a batch of 30 got placement in ed-tech companies, with one in IT sector and one in Axtiria. Companies that visit for mathematics students includes smart sense consulting private limited, Axtiria private limited deodhar classes, accenture Japan Limited, future first, pheonix Institute, eClerx, TCS , Narayana Group, Allen Career Institute, Physics Wallah and Chaitanya Academy. The highest package offered is 14 lacs in IT company. overall, placement was good as many of our seniors go for PhD but it is lesser than old IITs

The placements and internships are very good at IIT Gandhinagar. The eligibility criteria for sitting in placements varies from company to company, generally, there is a CPI cutoff, an online assessment round, and then generally 1-2 rounds of technical/HR interviews. The average package for CSE is around 26 LPA. The highest can go up to 70 LPA. Almost all the students who sit for placements get placed.

Students in the 7th and 8th semesters of undergraduate without having any disciplinary actions are eligible for placement drive. In the IIT Gandhinagar placement drive 2024, computer science and engineering, 34 students among the 49 participating students were placed with an average package stand at INR 22 LPA, and a median package stood at INR 20 LPA. 69 per cent are placed in CSE. The top recruiting companies were Accenture, Amazon, Texas Instruments, Amul, Cognizant, Atlassian, Deloitte, Adobe, etc.

Students need a minimum CPI of 6.5 for job opportunities. Generally, DE SHAW, Barclay, ORACLE, and Zomato will visit. Most of the job or intern opportunities are for computer science and electrical students. Also there is SRIP (Summer research internship program) which we can do a research project with the professor. The highest package was around 70LPA, and the average package was around 20LPA. Nearly 55-60% of students got placed this year. After completing my degree I will do industrial job for nearly 2 years and I will do masters.
