Eligibility Requirements For PhD Applications

Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for admission to the PhD program:-

  • Postgraduate (M.Tech/M.Sc.) or B.Tech degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Device Fabrication, Quantum Optics, or related fields from recognized institutes like IITs/IISERs or equivalent.
  • Master’s or B.Tech degree with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
  • Must have qualified for at least one national-level exam (NET-LS/JRF, GATE, DST-INSPIRE, or equivalent).
  • Candidates with a B.Tech/BE degree from CFTIs and a CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempted from the GATE requirement.

  • Provide the qualifying certificate for GATE/NET/CSIR/UGC/JEST examinations, if applicable.
