National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) invites applications for PhD (Full-time/Part-time/Under Project/Interdisciplinary) 2024 Programme. The last date for online application is November 27, 2024, 5 PM IST. The application fee for the Unreserved Category is INR 500 and INR 250 for the SC/ST/PwD categories. The selection will be based on a Written test and/or Interview.

NIT AP PhD Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates must have a Master’s degree in the concerned field from a recognized university with a minimum academic score of 6.5 CGPA or 60% aggregate marks.
  • For SC/ST/PwD candidates, 55% aggregate (or above) marks or an equivalent CGPA of 6.0 is essential.
  • GATE/NET qualified in the relevant disciplines.
  • For PhD in Engineering, GATE/NET qualified candidates with a Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology with 75% (or above) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 8.0, and SC/ST/PwD candidates, with 70% aggregate (or above) marks or equivalent CGPA of 7.5 are eligible.
  • Ph.D Project category: Candidates currently working under any sponsored project as JRF/SRF/Project assistant with NIT Andhra Pradesh faculty and interested in pursuing the Ph.D. degree can apply.
  • Ph.D. (Part-Time): Candidates who are working regularly in reputed research organizations/academic Institutions/Industries with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience can apply.

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC)
  • All other relevant certificates
